This is a MicroATX case.  That means that an ATX motherboard will not fit inside it.  If you must fit this particular case, then look for a MicroATX or FlexATX motherboard.  Otherwise, if you want that motherboard, then you will need a larger (ATX) case.

Yes, a standard ATX PSU will surely fit in this case. What makes this case smaller in footprint is with the size of the mobo it can fit which is limited to MicroATX but not with the PSU.

Yes, any Micro ATX or Mid ATX or Full ATX Tower will accept standard ATX power supplies.  Only ITX or Mini ATX cases need special power supplies, and even some of them are adopting the ATX standard in the past year or so, depending on space in the case.

Would this case work well on it's side? If so, is the bottom reasonably aesthetically pleasing or at least painted black to match the rest of the case? Thanks

Any case should work in any orientation which allows you to insert and remove disks safely and doesn't block airflow.

That said, these cases are only tested for being used as intended. It's possible for a case to have a design flaw that would make placing it on it's side harmful to the electronics within... something QA testing wouldn't reveal as they would likely not test it that way.

Also, the side panel is not reinforced so even on its side you should *not* place a monitor or anything else on the case. Which means that case will end up taking up considerably more space than it would standing vertical.

My advice is to buy a case designed for such use. Antec makes them and they sell them on Newegg.

it says micro atx, so as long as your motherboard is a micro atx then you're fine. Sometimes they'll say mini atx or m atx, but they're all the same.
