Antec Black Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case - ISK600

The ISK600 is the newest addition to Antec’s award-winning ISK line of Mini-ITX cases. It is a versatile enclosure that matches any CEO’s desk, designer’s office, or family living room. It is designed exclusively for Mini-ITX motherboards and takes up little deskspace. In addition to 0.8mm SECC steel, the ISK600 features elegantly designed brushed aluminum top and side panels. It will last for builds to come with space for a 12.5" graphics card, two expansion slots, and three drive bays. Discover the power of the ISK600.
Pros: The case is well-designed and has Antec's signature simplistic look. Component locations are all where they should be and even a fairly loaded system still offers ample space. You can put a massive graphics card, cooling unit, and tons of storage devices comfortably inside this thing. The height of the motherboard screw mounts allows you to easily manage most of the USB, front audio jack, and front panel wiring underneath the motherboard. Depending on the design of your ITX motherboard, you might get away with stuffing a few power supply cables underneath as well.
Cons: I don't understand Antec. They put a lot of thought into the design, accessibility, and functionality of these cases, then completely overlook small, yet obvious design flaws. They do this with every single case they've designed; they get most everything right, but get a few really important things wrong. There is absolutely no logical reason the left side of the case should have such minimal vent grating positioned towards the front for the graphics card. Not all cards pull or push air from one side. Many have dual fans positioned from the center. They designed this case to take a huge graphics card, yet provide virtually no means for it to get airflow. The entire left side of the case should be one large vent. Likewise, the extremely weak power light should run off a two-pin connector to the motherboard instead of a full-blown molex. A modular power supply is the perfect companion for this case, but having to connect a string of molex connectors just for one power light is silly and unnecessary. The sleek and simplistic design of the case is slightly marred by the cheap USB ports up front, both of which should simply be USB3.0.
Overall Review: The ISK 600 is another great case in a long line of Antec products that always meet my expectations. Unfortunately, some of those expectations are small little flaws that can be easily corrected to make what is currently a "great" case an excellent one.
