Question 1

Considering this case for a build. Do the included cables (24pin & 8pin) with either the HX750, RM750, or AX760 provide enough length to reach the board?

Accepted Answer

I have an AX750, last gen, with which the AX760 is most likely identical with (minus the improvements made to the PSU itself) however the cable lengths are most likely the same. My cables reached perfectly with some slack left over for a little more reach.

Question 2

I watched a New Egg video on this case and the one problem with this case was the 3.0 usb. The guy on New Egg had to buy an extension wire for the 3.0 usb connector to the mother board. Did Corsair fix that problem before I spend $160 on this case. I really like this case but I'm looking for a case that has has this technology especially for the money?

It -is- a little short, but I had no problems fitting it on my mATX board with quite a bit of slack, and unless your 3.0 connector is on the bottom of an eATX board, I can't see you having trouble fitting it as well. Take a peek around your motherboard and find the big old 3.0 connector on it; mine is about 5 inches 'south' from the 'north' corner furthest from the back panel and immediately 'south' of the 24-pin ATX connector, and I fit it easily with a good bit of slack left.

Question 3

I have ordered this case. It should be in soon.  I want to water cool.  Will a Kraken X60 fit in the top without modding the case?

The Kraken X60 fits quite easily and with room to spare.I used 2 of the 3 included 140 fans to blow thru,they are not even visible unless you look up! Plenty of room to do just about anything you can imagine!My build went smooth and easy.Push - Pull would run a little closer to motherboard, but looks completely doable.Green Xigmatek fans make a gorgeous look thru the huge window!

Question 4

Are the 140mm fans that come with this case good to use or should I replace them right away? I don't care how they look, I just want to know if they work fine.

Not a lot of air movement from the ones in the front because there kinda restricted from air flow the back is fine I kept the ones in the front and mounted a 120mm airflow fan right behind the ones in the front but if you don't do that there still OK if you want some thing better for the front I would get static pressure fans.

Question 5

I have a slight dumb question, when installing the fans how do you know which to put where and which way they should face to bring air in and remove air out?

Accepted Answer

There is no absolute right way, but here are some key tips to remember. Heat rises and it makes it easier if you work with it and not against it. If using a air cooler for the cup it is best to have the cpu fan follow the air flow. This can mean you use the back fan an an output or place them vertical to exhaust it out the top. And thing to keep in mind is if you want positive air pressure or negative. Negative pressure can lead to more dust in the case if the seams are not tight or the intakes don't have dust covers. Positive pressure can have the same effect if no dust covers are present but many cases including the 750d have protection. Keeping positive pressure will keep the seams from letting dust in by constantly pushing air out. Using the right fans will also help. For example airflow optimized fans can help move more air and stay quite.  While static pressure fans help push air through tight or resistive surfaces like filters or radiators.

Does it have a reset button? Does the case open without screws?

Yes the case has a reset button next to the audio ports on the front of the case. Both side panels are removed via a pair of large thumb screws. They are easy to remove for quick access to the board or to your cables.

Question 7

I am looking into purchasing this case and I was wondering would the front panel omit light if I were to have an LED fan or alchemy strips near the front of the case? Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully answer my question.

Through the front? You may see a faint glow but I doubt it would be much if at all. The way they have it designed seems to be pretty tight and the dust filter will stop most of it then the way it will have to reflect off the front panel then back out the gap for the air I'm pretty sure it would be minimal. I do not have any LEDs in my case but you can blame me if it doesn't work out.

What is the window on the side panel made of?

The window is made of plexiglass or acrylic. Looks good but scratches easy do be careful when cleaning.

Question 9

I"m soon going  to purchase this case on my next build i do not see a way to mount a corsair h100i in the top hows this work it looks solid?

just want to be sure before purchasing the h100i because im sure it wont reach all the way to the front of the case

The h100i will fit, i had one in mine and it fit perfectly with Push pull configuration, it has room for a 360 mm radion in the top and the h100i is only 240mm

Question 10

Is it true that you have to remove the front cover for the two front fans to intake air? If so, that almost completely defeats the purpose of the sleek looking front cover

No that's not true. It sucks air in from all around the panel. If people tell you that does not, they are wrong. The front of expensive Hepa Alergy/Air Purifiers are built in the same manner. A closed front panel that draws in the air from around the panel into the filter. I don't have to take the front panel off of my RabbitAir purifier and I don't have to take the front panel off of my Corsair 750d. 
So again... no you do not need to take off the front panel and it has been fine for the past 1,000hrs of my using this case.
