Question 1

For a novice builder, how difficult is it to install the parts into the case?

I built my first computer over the summer using this case, and I have to say it was fairly simple to install parts. This case is HUGE compared to what I thought it would be like (because I didn't realize the size difference between ATX and ATX Full). There is more than enough room to fit anything you need. It's also great if you plan on expanding in the future. The sides are only held on by 2 screws each, which you can easily take off by hand. And there is more than enough space to hide your wires on the right side of the case.

Question 2

will this case make alot of noise with these fans.. or anything loud cause i would like more of a silent case?

This case is definitely not silent, but I do not think it's too loud. There are times when gaming the system spins up the fans really loudly for a few seconds and then goes back down to normal, but it doesn't happen too often, and never does it when not gaming. I really think this case is best suited for gaming or computationally intensive tasks. It's one of the best built and cooling systems I've seen in a long time - especially for the price. For a truly silent case, it would be for something very low powered and not gaming, in my opinion.

do you need an ssd mounting kit for a2.5 to 3.5 bay?

No. It has mounts in already, as well as screws to put them in (although depending on the model you might need to have some handy).

To be honest, I thought the graphic card will have problem fitting in this case, not because of size, but because of the design of the mounting bracket. I mean it would hit the card lip before the card can be fully installed into the motherboard. I met with this problem when I tried to install my GTX780. I am not sure whether everyone would have this problem. Good luck to you then, Michael.

Question 5

does there seem a different if the side panel has a window or not? in the case of heating and cooling? or is the window more of a show off thing? guess I'm really asking if there is really any pros and/or cons for having a window or not

There is a reason for the window. One so you can see if any of your fans have quit running. Two so you can show off all the lights. Three Most cases with a see through panel also have a large fan in them and believe me this is a must. If you want a good case this is one of the best that I have owned. I even have liquid cooling and fans on my memory. This is a great case for the do it your self computer geek. I love the cooling this case does. So to answer your question, yes the panel comes in handy, but thge fan in it is even better.

Does this case support 240mm liquid cooling solutions such as the corsair 100i?

So yes, it seems possible to install a Corsair 100i into this case.

Question 7

The description says to make sure your motherboard has internal USB 3.0 connectors. Is this required for basic function, or just the convenience of front panel USB 3.0 ports?

The included cables that are hooked up to the front panel USB 3.0 inside the Thor V2 case has a connector that is specific for hooking up to a USB 3.0 on the motherboard.  The cable will not fit a USB 2.0. So if your motherboard does'nt have a USB 3.0, then you don't need to hook it up and basically your front panel USB 3.0s' will not function.

Question 8

Does anyone know if the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO will fit in this case without any problems? Pcpartpicker isn't sure about the compatibility and I just want an idea of if it is or not. Thanks!

I had a 212 Evo in here and it worked completely fine. The case is huge and should fit most air coolers.

Question 9

I'm planning on placing this case directly to the right of my monitor/keyboard/mouse. Will the giant fan on the side panel be a problem? Will it blow enough air to make the area around it feel cold and affect my gaming performance, or even health?

You can set this fan to be adjustable by the dials on the front, but I'll say that it does get loud. Fortunately for me the tower is hooked up in my living room in the corner so I can run it at full blast and not notice while gaming. However when it's silent, it's very obviously spinning. Could get annoying, especially when the mount has a tendency to become.. idk, unbalanced I guess? It will start ticking with every revolution. Literally only complaint I've had with the tower and I love it to death regardless. As for feeling cold, it can push a lot of air, and if your internal cooling is doing its job, it could get cold. But again, this can be adjusted. The fans at the back will do a very nice job extracting heat, you could get away with turning the big fan down low. Just keep an eye on your temps, should be fine. Question 10

Is there a wiring diagram for hooking the A Fan and B Fan connectors? Do I need to buy adapters?

Hey Tom, The case comes with a bunch of cords for the fans that are labeled for your convenience. I went out and purchased a bus for the fans to hookup to and then realized that the power cord goes to the hub at the top of the case and that transfers power to the rest of the fan cords(which I believe they are about 8). When I first opened the case and switched my gear to the new case I was confused but luckily newegg.com has the videos and I had a friend with the case. The case is awesome! I've had no problems, it is a little bit heavy, but it it a full size tower. Good luck with your case brother!
