Does it come with any fans on the top of the case?

Accepted Answer

No, but there is enough room for at least two, maybe three fans. There is a magnetic mesh cover over the top of the case which I would say is optional. There are two installed fans-one in the back and one behind the hot-swap cage inside the case. The case is equipped for liquid cooling.

Question 2

It looks to me like there are 2x5.25" slotst above the 4XHD cage, not one as is listed in the specs. Can an owner clarify? Reason I ask, is that I'd like to put 2 optical drives in. Thanks!

There are 2 5.25" bays. I have to mention this is the best case I've ever built with for cable management. If your planning on putting SSD's in the hot swap cage, the only way they will fit is to leave out the bracket and install directly into the plugs.

Question 3

I am just curious if the hot swap cage supports both 2.5 and 3.5 size drives?

Have not tried, but has a separate tray that you can install on ONE 3.5" HDD pull out tray.  Documentation: Pull out the HDD trays from the cage.  Remove the SSD Tray from the back of the case (it is a flat adapter).  3.5" drives: install a 3.5" HDD onto the tray and secure the screws.  2.5" Drives: Screw a 2.5" SSD/HDD onto the tray with screws(shows thumb crews).  Insert the tray into the HDD cage, and secure the SSD tray back onto the case with thumbscrews.  Note: case is sturdy with two 120MM fans.  Hope this helps!

Question 4

Why does it have a filter on top if that is meant to be exhaust?  It looks nice but restricts air flow and would have the added disadvantage of trapping dust inside.

any ventilation in a case can easily allow for either-directional fan-mounting (some users may wish to use it as an added intake by reversing the mount of the internal fan(s). I know I've done so on some builds.  ;)

Question 5

how many total HD bays are in this case? I'm curious if there are more than the 4 swappers, that would be not jostled around, if wanting them in the rig at a constant duration (like for the HD with OS). THANK YOU!

There's 4 HDD bays in the swapper, and a hidden SSD slot behind the panel where the MoBo mounts. If you're not swapping the HDDs constantly, they're pretty secure as is. I have one mounted in there, seems okay as far as I can tell. Good luck!

Will the hot swap cage accept an ssd drive?

With the right adapter, I'm sure it would work, but I'd recommend against it and mount it in the slot under the solid panel without the window.

Does the HDD cage connect easily to a hardware RAID card? What type of connectors would those be? Thanks.

It's 4 SATA3 and SATA power plug in the back of the cage, so easy pass-through.
