Will a coolermaster hyper 212 evo fit this case?

i would say that's a very tight fit. at most 3 to 6 mm to spare if that. the hyper 212 is 159mm tall, and the entire case is only 190.. wide. add in the motherboard, depth of fan, processor, mounting bracket, and raising from the back for mobo mounting, and you have maybe 165 to work with at most. but worse comes to worse, you could shave the copper pegs on the heat sink on top a little and fit it, won't affect performance none, in fact could even help a little with the heat transfer. I'd say go for it

Will a corsair h100i liquid cooling fit in this case at the top?

I have not tried, yet, but the top is an open wire grid.  It looks like the corsair should mount easily.

The cas is powder coated steel, very rugged.

Are all of the fans connected via molex?

The fanx that come with this are connected via molex.   My suggestion is have a few converters on hand just to be safe with any new towers.  Hope this is helpful.

It will most definitely fit, with plenty of extra space as well. i built one with an atx and had more space than necessary. helped with all the cables i had running too.

Can the 220mm fan on the side be replaced a 230mm fan?

The case is already pretty cramped, so it would be a pretty tight fit. I highly doubt you could make it work.

would a MSI GTX970 GPU fit in? PCpartpicker said that the GPU is 269mm in lenght

If the GPU fits on the mother board, you should have no problem.  There is space between the mother board and drives mounted behind front panel.
