hello, i want to buy this for my mother bord wchich is assus croshair formula 3- it is standart ATX MOTHER BOARD.  do they fir togheter?

Sorry, but I don't think so, it can fit an ITX motherboard but not an ATX.  You should get a regular mini ATX motherboard usually it measure over 7 inches, while an ITX it measures less than 7 inches. I hope this it answer your question fellow pal technician.

Question 2

Does the ATX Power Supply hole at the bottom of the case come with a cover? I'm using an external PSU with PicoATX mother board connections instead.

Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a cover. I ran into a similar problem as I am using a slimline PSU with my build. However I haven't noticed any issues with dust or any similar concerns with having it open as it is on the bottom and not the sides for instance.

Question 3

Has anyone been able to mount a 3.5 inch drive on the bottom, where the 2.5 inch drives go? I need to remove the 3.5 in bay on the top to make some breathing room for my GPU, but I need a place to mount the drive.

yes i have. i actually started off putting the drive at the bottom but its a really tight fit depending on what Power Supply Unit you have. the cables are the one thing that is going to stop you. maybe getting a 90 deg adapter or something will help you out with it. as far as mounting it goes. you have to place it right in the middle of all the mounting points. yes it does look a little strange but it works and the screw holes line up. but like i said the connectors are going to give you the biggest issue with a ATX PSU. try getting a SFX that comes with a ATX mounting bracket and that should help with the connector clearance.

If you set it up with a 120mm water cooler, would it be better to have 2 side 70mm fans blowing in or out?

It would depend on whether your thermals need the additional fans and which direction you choose to have the 120mm blow. Given the fact the PSU draws air from the interior, either way, it would be prudent to ensure there is positive air pressure. Without a constant force of fresh air for the chipset & mosfets, any overclocking could potentially be limited due to the MOBO itself being too hot. The only other reason I would consider running additional fans would be if my video card was stifling everything else. My machine is running well within tolerances on air using a single 120mm blowing into the case, towards the PSU - 2500k on Z68 MOBO with a Skythe SCSK-1100. All in all, this case has very high custom mod potential. As is it's a good case, but a drill press and seasoned builder could tease something incredible out this case.

Question 5

Does the 7 pin part of the chassis usb header have to plug into the mobo if the larger blue usb header is in?  The 7pin part that splits off doesn't reach anywhere on the mobo, but it seems to be a usb 2.0 header, so I think that shouldn't matter?  Thanks if you can help.

I think you are right to just plug in the larger usb3 connector. I would look inside, but mine is also populated with a video card, and I really don't want to take it apart. I like my case, get lots of compliments, and may buy another. It is serving as a 3D printer server for 3 and running a spunky A6 system from the Egg, overclocked, and 100% solid except for one outta the blue series of freezes. When I get another one I will drill 4 holes in the top and put on a couple nice metal handles (side-ways) for carrying and protection. I really like the ability to use standard ATX PSU.

It is my understanding that a standard ATX Power Supply has power connectors to HDDs with a elbow. If the 2.5" HDDs are resting flat on the bottom of the case, that elbow would turn them down into the case frame. So how are they then plugged in? This would also affect a SATA cord with an elbow, which I believe the case comes with.(1 cord with, 1 without.) It doesn't seem like you could plug the elbow side in the mobo's SATA ports either as it would run into the RAM. How did you build your's. Should I opt for a Modular PSU instead?

Can this case accommodate two 3.5" hard drives?

The Case is very TINY . The power supply and 120mm case fan are on opposite sides of the case. The supplied case fan is very cheap and noisy and intakes air from the rear of the case to blow it onto the motherboard and the power supply fan exhausts air via the front bottom. You may have an air flow issue if you plan to mount a rad in the back and exhaust the air out the back, because you now have two fans exhausting. Due to the TINY size of the case, you have very little room to do anything. I cannot stress the word TINY enough. As such, I suppose if you had a rad that has dimensions about the same as a standard 120mm fan, then yes it will fit...but barely.  If Rad is slightly larger than 120 case fan, then no it will not fit. If water cooling is a priority for a mini ITX build, I suggest Fractal's Node 304.

The case accepts a standard ATX power supply so in terms of space there is enough for an ITX PSU,; however, if the ITX PSU does not share the same connection points you may need to adapt the case for it. From the pictures I've seen the true ITX PSUs would not fit without modification. You should be able to fit a Micro ATX PSU though.

It depends on the power supply.  I honestly have never purchased a PSU with right angled connectors (elbow).  They are all flat connectors.
This case does not come with sata connectors, they come with you motherboard.  You motherboard can come with flat and/or right angle sata cables.  If you need flat sata or sata power connectors you can buy extension that are flat.
You should not have any problems connecting 2.5" drives on the bottom.  I only have one in my case but I did not install it on the bottom.  The top of the case has a metal cage that can house a 2.5" drive if you get a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter.
