Question 1

Is the side window Acrylic (Plastic) or Tempered Glass ?  I don't see it mentioned anywhere (even on the manufacturer's website - Thanks.

Its plastic.  I have had this case for couple of years, used each day.  all the buttons work great, nice cooling etc. it is bigger than a normal case, factor that in.  I sure like ours!

Question 2

does the card reader have it's own usb header or is it combined with either the usb 3.0 or 2.0 header?

It has its owns connection, it connects to a USB 2.0 slot.  The USB 2.0 and 3.0 have their own connections as well.

Question 3

What kind of heat problems, if any, would I have if using a gtx 970 video card.  If I replace the fans with corsair or better would it work?

Jeff: The Cuboid case has excellent airflow with the right fans installed. I replaced the front with a Phantek 200mm & the rear exhaust with a Phantek 120 (1800rpm); I also added a Fractal 80mm (1400rpm) down in the lower corner to pull cool air across my drives. The 200mm front fan only spins at 850rpm, but because of its size & blade design, it moves a ton of air. My graphics card is an AMD 390X and with a custom fan profile engaged, it never gets above 68C, no matter how long I game.Your GTX 970 should do just fine!

Question 4

Can I disable or disconnect the LED lighting separate from the fan so the fans will still work?

In my unit the only lighting in the case are the fan lights.   The side panel does not light up.   The unit is designed for those who want water cooling.   If you are going to use stock cpu fans,  buy a smaller more compact micro atx enclosure

Question 5

How tall is the case if you don't measure the lip on the front panel? Trying to fit it in a 10" high TV stand, and it's pretty close in measurements.

I don't have a tape measure handy but can tell you the lip (where the I/O and power button live) is approximately 3/4" tall.

Question 6

Is the front fan 140mm or 200mm? The item name and description say it is a 140mm, but youtube reviews say that it's a 200mm.

The installed fan is a 200, although the front bezel has screw holes capable of multiple sizes. Think it is able to do 120-200mm with supplied holes. May even be possible to place 2 120mm in a vertical config though that seems unnecessary with the installed 200.

What is the slot on the front for? a disk drive?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  It is an Optical Disc Drive (ODD) slot.  It fits a pretty standard 1" x 5.25" drive.

DIYPC Cuboid-R Black / Red USB 3.0 Gaming Micro-ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ 1 x 200mm LED Red Fan x Front, 1 x 120mm LED Red Fan x rear. Is the color of the product listed above ACTUALLY RED and BLACK or is it ORANGE and BLACK?? The pictures look orangy too me.

It's definitely red. More of a fire engine red than anything. Not dark or lush.

Is the 5.25" drive bay still usable when a 240mm radiator is installed?

Dan: With a 240 rad installed up top, the optical drive needs to be removed. It is held by 6 screws and easy to take out.

Can I fit a GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 and a 5.25 cd drive into this case?

I've measured myself and I know an average sized nvidia card such as a GTX 970 will fit underneath the optical drive bay, however, you will have to remove the optical bay to put the card in (it has screws to do so) and depending on where the 6/8 pin power connector is on the card those wires may not be able to plug in. I had the same question so I just bought a smaller SC card so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
