Can the 5.25 bays be removed?

The externally accessible bays for 5.25" devices such as optical drives or other add-in devices are simply open areas inside the case.  They are covered by blank faceplates on the front panel which can be removed if you want to add a device to one of the available 4 slots but there's nothing to remove internally.  If you don't need to add a device you just leave the blank faceplates in place.  There's nothing to remove internally so the answer is no, the 5.25 bays cannot be removed.

It's been a while since I was working with the case, intending to install 2 optical drives and a card reader, The top bay presented no problem, but the remaining bays have a baffle at the front I didn't know how to remove for the 2nd drive or card reader.

The bays are not removable.

I do think it a fine case.

Does case fan have molex connectors ??

Yes, there is one molex connector that powers all three included case fans through the fan controller (the two slide switches on the top of the case).  One is for the two front fans and the other is for the single back fan.

Is the lower front panel cover removable? Seems like the panel where is says "gamemax" is blocking the lower front fans?

Yes, the panel is removable.  Remove the whole front front and then the middle panel can be removed.

how do you get the case fans to work?

There is a single molex connector that needs power.  Hook it up to the PSU and then the fans can be turned on and off with the two switches on the case.
