Can these be used to replace the stock PSU cables entirely? or are they purely a 'extension cable' ?  Kinda interested in color-coordinating a new PC Build :)

They are purely an extension cable. I recommend running them through the panel on the side opposite to the one with the window (assuming you have a case with this design) and connecting them in there. I have done this on my build and you can’t tell they’re extension cables at all.

Will this fit Corsair RM850X?

Yes, this cable extension kit is designed to be universally compatible. It works perfectly with an old Corsair HX1000Watt PSU and also with a new EVGA 1600Watt G2. I needed cable extensions for the cryptocurrency mining rig that I built, and these extensions did exactly what they claim to do. My EVGA 1600Watt G2 is almost maxed out, drawing 1500 Watts continuously, but the thick 16 Gauge wire in the extensions easily handles the current and barely gets warm. My only gripe is the price - it's a bit steep considering you only get a half dozen extensions. But the build quality is excellent, and I highly recommend this product.

Is this for themaltake psu?

Yes it works fine for most PSU's. However you should check the hadware in your system (motherboard, GPU mainly) however this kit has a good variety to fit most systems so you really can't go wrong.
