I have an acer aspire one computer that I want to show the audio/visual display on my smart tv. I have usb on the computer and HDMI on the tv. Will this do the job for me and do I need anything else? As you can tell I'm 70 year old man that knows little about computers. Thanks Lars roos

This will not work. You will need USB to HEIN adapter and an HDMI to HDMI cable between the adapter and the tv.

Do a search for USB to HDMI on newegg's website.

If you have a USB 3.0 port on your computer then search for USB 3.0 to HDMI for an adapter that will perform better with your system. (Sometimes the port is marked SS for "super speed")

I have used the adapter from IOGear and it works well.
