Does this take care of audio too, or do I need additional cables?

I bought a few of these solely for the video, so I don't have experience with audio on these devices.  The StarTech website does show in the technical specifications that this specific model does support stereo audio.

Our LG lost it's HDMI capability.  We can use the USB 2.0 ports.  
1. Will the video quality be impaired?  (I see remarks below to indicate this may be the case.)
2. Will it also deliver reasonable audio quality?
3. Will it work with a Roku?

Can you use two on the same system?

Yes. I have used four on the same computer but just keep in mind your CPU utilization will go up due to all the monitor refreshes. Otherwise, works great. We use them at trade shows.

This device is an external video adapter and will give you an HDMI video output on your computer for adding another monitor.

Need to to connect PC to TV across the room. How long can the HDMI cable be running from this adapter to back of TV? The distance is 40-50ft; up one wall, above drop ceiling, back down other wall behind TV.

we only have one setup with a long HDMI cable but have had no problem with a 50' cable

My experience has only been with Windows machines, and it worked flawlessly.  I see no reason why you would have any problems on a MAC.  You could probably return it if it did not work.
