Pros: It is the middle of the road board but it is one hell of a workhorse. Has just the right amount of RGB to make any lover happy. Easy to install and has all the features you will really need. This board kicks with the best of them. Happy I bought it.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Recommend this Motherboard to everyone who wants to step up to the next level of technology
Pros: Options packed Looks Price EZ Flash utility
Cons: Runs hot No water blocks for this yet Needs firmware update out of the box
Overall Review: This is a very capable MB. Pro tip, use the EZ Flash utility to update the BIOS from the BIOS FIRST THING! It appears the MB was built and stocked before the firmware was finished, so the version it comes with can cause problems with setup. Heatsinks are large, but they dissipate a lot of heat. They have caused problems with my radiator placement, and there currently is no water block alternative to replace them with to shrink the size and retain the cooling. Waiting for EK to come out with one. Good board for AIO setups. Keep this MB town in a well vented area. It pumps some heat out of the VMs and voltage chokes. Don't think it would do good in a restricted air flow case. I'd give this MB a 4.5 score, but the value in it's current field and early availability make it a great choice at the time, unless you can drop $500+ on your MB.
Pros: - Great specs on paper at this price point.
Cons: - Incredibly unstable even at stock speeds with the latest BIOS and multiple CPU/ram configurations. I waited a few months after buying this product upon release hoping they would fix these issues but they have not done so yet.
Overall Review: - I've bought great things from ASUS in the past but this board is just disappointing with all the Kernal Power errors it throws. ...the issue seems to be somewhat common and some people claimed they were able to troubleshoot it but still.
Pros: It arrived quickly. Feature rich bios.
Cons: It randomly freezes when idle. Under any load the it runs fine and MeMTest86 checks out (no error). This leads me to think the problem is in the mobo vs in the CPU or Memory. I've tried updating the bios to the latest version (2021/12/03) to no avail, it still freezes when idle. Also it freezes under both Windows 11 and Ubuntu, so it is not an OS issue.
Overall Review: I think there are some quality issues with this board, given that it randomly freezes when idle.
Pros: The Best
Cons: None
Overall Review: I Read All The Reviews and come to my own conclusion, This board if you understand what you are doing in the bios setup btw make sure you update the bios before installing windows or Ubuntu and go over the bios configurations before you install because theres different ways it can go for you like enable Intel technology if you want your m2 (storage) to be recognized . By default Intel technology is not enabled, at least not on mine Been building my own pcs since the Intel Pentium 4 and I just upgraded from The 6th gen Intel to the 12th gen I7 This Is Best Motherboard I give it a 10/10Thank You.
Pros: It is cool with some features. It performs well.
Cons: Ok so, There is NO Bluetooth, There is NO Wi-Fi capability. The layout of the MOBO is disastrous and limiting your ability to access your SATA connections. And there are a scarce amount of USB ports. I have had to buy so many adapters and connectors to make it work. No a well designed board.
Overall Review: Very lacking in basic necessities. I would not suggest this board at all.
Overall Review: I purchased this with G.skill F5-5600U3636C16GX2-TZ5K which is on your list as working with this board. I then tried Corsair ram that is also on your list. I get the Vram light and no posting. I removed everything and made sure the brand new Intel Core i5-12600K CPU is installed properly. No luck. I tried just using one stick of ram and no luck. I have built plenty of pcs with ASUS boards but this has been a headache.
Overall Review: I bought the ASUS Prime Z690-A with a G.Skill 5600 4040C combo from Newegg. The motherboard doesn't seem to support the RAM and it's not on the QVL (lots of G.Skill RAM but not this particular model for some reason). It's possible it might support the RAM after a motherboard upgrade, but you can't upgrade the motherboard without RAM. There's no bios flashback and there no error code numbers or even beeps, just a Q-LED that lights up "DRAM". Buyer beware and beware of getting this with any combo at Newegg.
