GIGABYTE GA-945GCMX-S2 LGA 775 Intel 945GC Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Excellent Board. Ordered 26 and no duds, nothing wrong at all. Easy install, great options and features. Really enjoyed seeing some better BIOS options (hit CTRL-F1 when in BIOS). Built for a school computer lab, they run quiet and cool as well.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I have ordered 5 more of these boards because I like them so much. I'm new to GigaByte (usually bought Asus or MSI) and these seem to be much better quality.

Pros: The easiest mobo I have ever worked with. No problems with the built, it booted right up. Inexpensive but still high quality. Manual is excellent and website A+ too.

Cons: None I could think of.

Overall Review: Built a computer for my son with case, mobo,Dual Core processor,PS,ram and 500Gig HD for under $350 and put it together in less than 2 hours.

Pros: Supports Core2 Duo, also software that comes with this makes for very easy simple overclocking, and love the monitoring tools, get the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler running this at 2400rpm and keep cpu cool at 28-30c.

Cons: none, also the issue with the sound being DOA its fine just install the drivers and will work, hopefully, well it atleast worked for me.

Overall Review: Get this for the price, not a bad deal, oh newegg rocks.

Pros: Easy intstall, didn't have to reload windows XP.

Cons: Onboard sound was DOA.

Overall Review: I'm keeping it and just buying a different sound card.

Pros: Excellent chipset. Runs Cool. Stable

Cons: Realtek 8169SC drivers do not function in Linux Very well. Kernel compilations and MORE have resulted with no positive results.

Overall Review: If using windows... this will be perfect.

Pros: I like the fact that this board can support a core 2 duo when I get c ash for an upgrade. Pretty much your basic board though.

Cons: No connector for 1394 on board for cases that offer front panel firewire. Had problems with connecting power supply to board but may have been an issue with power supply not mobo. Also having trouble getting IDE to work. Purchased some SATA stuff to troubleshoot that.

Overall Review: I like the board but suppose I can attribute its short comings like only 2 memory slots and no 1394 support to the smaller form factor. All in all it is a good product and I will continue to work on the other issues that may or may not be mobo related.

Pros: Have this board for over a month with a C2D e6300 and 2GB of DDR2 667 Corsair RAM and this system stays on 24/7 and never showed any signs of instability, also just purchased another for a second build.

Cons: When installing long PCI cards like a SB Audigy 2 ZS, it almost interferes with the third SATA port but barely clears it when installed on the first PCI slot.

Overall Review: Planning on upgrading with a C2D e6750

Pros: This is a great MB for balancing all the quality and features you'd want with the price that's good. BIOS features are good, with the ability to over-clock CPU, RAM, and PCIe easily. Comes with a WIN software based OC feature as well.

Cons: The only thing that presents a con is the inability to run RAM at full PC6400 speed, but this is only a minor set back.

Overall Review: One other thing that's not quite a con, the board doesn't have firewire, not a biggie. On loading of sys drivers, the USB drivers didn't want to install with the express installer utility, so be mindful of that.
