Pros: Good overclocking MB I put a E7200 Wolfdale on this and it booted right up no bios update needed. I OC fsb to 333mhz turned off all the intel power saving goodies and set voltage to 1.200000 and 3163 mhz rock solid. GA must read these reviews because almost all the cons listed for mb GA-G31M-SL2 have been fixed on this board Great job GA!

Cons: The power saving settings for the clock state/ reduce clock when idel! well a couple of times I seen voltage of 1.56 @ 6 x 333 1998mhz that is way over voltage max. so if you buy this board and oc turn these off in the bios.

Overall Review: cpu fsb 1066/1333/1600 no problem mine right now is @8.5 x 400 3400mhz voltage 1.27500/ mem fsb 500mhz seems to be top speed I have 2g of wintec 8500 1066 but if I go over 1000 mhz board won't post. Hey for $57 and $130 for E7200 thats a lot of bang for your buck. and yes mine will run @ 9.5 x 400 3.8 ghz but a little warm for me on air cooler Rosewill Z5. hope the info helps out. Pros: Great little board. Paired with E8400 and G.Skill DDR2 800 (2x1GB). Boot right up, no tweaking necessary. It would be perfect for a first built. Descent overclocking options. Supports 4GB of RAM. The integrated audio was surprisingly good.

Overall Review: When I was researching which board to buy, this one appeared to have almost exactly the same specs as the GA-G31M-S2L but with some advantages: higher FSB support (1600MHz O.C.), better audio, and it was even a little cheaper. Comparing both at the Gigabyte website makes me think that this one is a later (and better) model. The original bios support 45nm processors. You can use Ctrl+F1 in bios to display hidden overclocking options.

Pros: Works. Very inexpensive. This is the same board as the GA-G31M-S2, it just ships with an updated BIOS (supports every modern processor available out of the box) and the energy saving software that I personally didn't install.

Cons: The onboard video is pretty poor. I'm not referring to graphics performance, but just the picture. It's blurry. Same thing with both of the computers I've built with this. The SATA connectors are also arranged pretty obnoxiously if you're trying to keep a clean looking case.

Overall Review: 2x1GB Corsair Value Select DDR2 667 1.8V, E2160. Haven't tried overclocking.

Pros: E7200 2.53@3.16 at stock voltage, passed prime for 5hr, superpie test. running 24/7 since the assembly on 7/31. For G31 it's pretty good. but for those who wants extreme OC beyond 333FSB, go for quality P35 or P45 with 5 or more power phase instead. This is 4 Phase and it is very nice for below 60bucks G31 MB. so if you buy any CPU below 333FSB, then this is nice mild OC mATX board. Nice layout, IDE is at the ideal location, unlike other MB that has IDE on the bottom of the MB always cards/VGA will get in the way, but this WONT!! and this officialy supports the RAM upto 4GB, confirmed by gigabyte support and I am running mine with 4GB

Cons: memory slot is little close to CPU slot. some aftermarket CPU cooler may interfere with the heatpipe installed memory. mine is AF7 on CPU and OCZ memory, it barely pushes the memory little bit but it works fine. so check before you buy!

Overall Review: e7200 2.53@3.16, 4GB OCZ PC6400, HD4850 When you DO OC, be sure to turn off all those energy saving goodies. or OC wouldn't work well. No bios update is require to support wolfdale E7xxx, E8xxx series.

Pros: Despite the fact that every website I have visited (NewEgg included) shows in their specifications that 2GB is the max for this board, I am happy to announce that I am running this board with 4GB of Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX. Gigabyte is the only website that shows the correct specification of 4GB max. This board rocks for the money! This board is functionally equivalent to the GA-EG31M-S2L with added energy savings features. Also, the placement of I/O ports is better.

Cons: Wished specs would show correct memory capacity.

Overall Review: I play BF2142 regularly and this board has no problem playing it well so long as the Dynamic Energy Saver feature is off. When turned on, this board will throttle back on power and effect performance. This is OK for apps that aren't graphics intensive.

Pros: Excellent Ubuntu compatability. (8.04) Stable

Overall Review: Running Ubuntu 8.04 (Linux) with E6700 & 2GB DDR2 800 with onboard Video - Excellent for Daughters comp. Linux recognized all of the onboard goodies.

Pros: Solid as a rock. Setup is easy. Drivers install with one click.

Overall Review: I just built 38 systems with this board. All worked great. Matched with an E7200 and 2 gigs of AData 800Mhz. Make a great workstation.

Pros: Wonderfull little board for the price. Good bios options for overclocking, VERY GOOD options for the memory. Overall VERY good.

Cons: when overclocking, the northbridge runs a tad bit hot. A small 40mm fan cools this to my liking however.
