Has done me well, 6/5/2016 2:56:12 PM

Pros: has options, valuable to a tinkerer and casual gamer

Cons: In recent days (have owned for 5yrs, now) tried to add RAM bought exact replica of current RAM, but 2x4 ( have 2x2 installed) and it just does not like it. Have done trouble shooting for hours, not sure what to think now. everything in the computer functions well just this one bit. only an annoyance, wished to upgrade, but functions as is.

Overall Review: great board, probably discontinued at this point.

Great motherboard 7/28/2012 12:24:45 PM

Pros: First of all, I was a little nervous about all of the reviews saying it came DOA.

-came in great working condition
-lots of USB ports
-easy to follow instructions
-love the gigabyte features:
-backup bios
-separate fuse for each USB
-high quality
-high tech for it's time (compare to other mobos)

Cons: Not really anything...
Many people have it DOA sounds like but they would replace it so... I guess that would just be a delay if anything

Overall Review: Gigabyte has a lot of cool features in their motherboards. I got an ASUS this time around because there are not any good Gigabyte mobos for my new CPU's socket.

Disappointing MoBo 6/19/2012 8:23:09 PM

Comments: Bought this board a while back to eventually replace my aging AMD system. Finally bought the remaining parts, put everything together and got nothing. Attached a speaker and got video error beep code. Tried another video card, no change. Tried another power supply, no change. Memory works fine in another system. Board behaves like no video card is installed. Very disappointing to have a board not work from the start.

Looks good but no LAN and crashes 10/24/2011 10:31:10 PM

Comments: I purchased this board with the Core i5 760 and G. Skill ram as many before me ran without problems. Well it ran great for about 2 weeks then I noticed constant blue screens using Win 7 pro 64 bit. Reinstall OS a few times still same blue screens and of course I have no lan after it wakes up from hybernation. I have to shut the power off and let it sit and then power it back on to get LAN back. This is the second Gigabyte board that has done this. I guess Asus is what I will be using for my next build.

A decent mobo 10/2/2011 7:05:04 AM

Comments: To future proof your investment, you're better off with a better mobo. But if you're on a tight budget, I highly recommend puchasing this.

Mostly satisfied 10/1/2011 11:56:16 PM

Comments: This is my first Gigabyte motherboard. The specs are great for the price I paid, but the ethernet issue makes it feel like the low price came at a cost. I think if I were looking for a new motherboard today, I'd be willing to pay a bit extra to get one that has a more reliable reputation.

Was never stable, now dead 9/16/2011 7:18:53 PM

Pros: It fits the ATX form factor.

Cons: I've had nothing but trouble with this board. It's burned out 3 video cards now due to a defective PCI-E slot.

Card 1 died, I thought it was a bum video card so I replaced it.
Card 2 died I thought it was a bum power supply, replaced both. Card 3 died and now I'm fuming.

Took it to the local shop (luckily I know the owner so they do me free service). They properly diagnosed the issue. Defective PCI-E slot.

Read down a bit, you can see this board has shocking quality issues. I don't know if it's bad design, bad manufacturing practices, poor quality control, or a combination of the three. But it doesn't matter, the proof is in the product.

It's safe to say, I can't trust Gigabyte with my expensive peripherals moving forward.

Was great until integrated ethernet died 8/7/2011 5:20:56 AM

Pros: I had no problem, everything worked just fine at first.

Cons: A couple days ago the integrated ethernet stopped working. I've tried a couple different operating systems and it doesn't even show up in any of them. It's still enabled in the bios, but the actual hardware appears to have completely died. I'm very disappointed, as I thought this was going to be a good product, but there seem to be a lot of other people with similar problems.
