I can't complain 11/22/2014 12:45:04 PM

Pros: I have sent this board to hell and back, and it's never failed me. It's ran Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, but mostly Linux. I've overclocked it far beyond anything it should ever be able to endure, and tweaked BIOS settings in the most unorthodox of ways. I've taken the board out, lapped the processor, liquid cooled it, added a custom northbridge, and swapped cases a few times.

I've been generally completely careless and stupid with this board, and it's endured all of my torture.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: It was $59.99. This board has been a trusty pal to me throughout my IT adventures, and it runs to this day - as I type this very review. I think the BIOS is well put together, and very lax.

Never too late 11/8/2012 5:19:03 PM

Pros: Price and Speed. I built the PC months before I needed it knowing I would need to go through the torture of reloading all my products. Only issues were rewiring front panel, np, cabinet dependent. So I tested with XP but waited for Windows 7 price to come down and finally have it in use for 3 months. No problems. Runs great. Now I'm going to upgrade from 4G DDR2 to 8G DDR3 for about $50 where DDR2 would cost me $150. Same MoBo. Great Idea. This PC is used for all my photos, videos and home-made movies. Work horse indeed.

Cons: Only 2 PCI slots and 1 PCIE-1 and 1 PCIE-16. But I'm fine with that. Plenty of expansion for me. Video card and Multi-media are all I needed.

Overall Review: The hardware install was seemless. Win7 upgrade had no issues.

Onboard graphics failed 2/22/2012 7:21:52 PM

Comments: It was a good board while it worked. Board was a replacement for a defective Asus MB. Will try to RMA the board, but probably will roll dice and try another brand,

Decent mobo, terrible service. 11/12/2011 7:41:53 AM

Pros: Motherboard was great while it worked. Easy to set up, no fits at all.

Cons: Motherboard died after less than a year with very light use (it was in my mothers computer). Computer would turn off about 3-4 minutes after it booted up, and would sub-sequentially turn off sooner and sooner. Ended up buying a new processor because the temp alarm in bios was going off but it wasn't the processor. Got new ram, power supply, tried reinstalling windows but it turns off during installation, unplugged HD and DVD Drive and also took completely out of the case and the problem still persists. Also tried another keyboard and no mouse. Only thing left is the motherboard! +12V reads only 2v in windows yet reads 12.1V with a multimeter. I'm assuming the VRM is going bad on the motherboard, and that was with using a non-overclocked E6500.

Overall Review: Sent in for an RMA, received about 1 and 1/2 weeks later, hooked everything up and still had the same problem. Checked the S/N on the motherboard and Gigabyte sent back the exact same motherboard.

Will never buy a Gigabyte product again! Motherboard is decent, although it's downfall is a terrible company...

Comments: Wish it had a HDMI output on the back but my video card has one just had to hook up the sound to the video card. Great media PC board
