MSI P67A-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I have no issues with this board. I see some people complaining that it only has one PCI Express slot, or it's missing some port they wanted. How is this a con? Did you not read the specs before you purchased the board? You knew what you were getting before you hit the button to pay for it, so why complain now? Anyway, it has everything I needed and was a good price. As some other reviewers noted, it comes with an awesome BIOS and tons of features. I haven't played with many of them yet because I want to make sure I have a stable OS install first. I basically just set the date, changed the SATA type to AHCI and off I went.

Cons: I do have some complaints though. Their software sucks! I can find no where to have the board adjust the fan speed based on CPU or chipset temperature. So basically the fans run at 100% all the time, which is really annoying. I have been using the MSI GUI to step them down once I boot into Windows. The problem is that you have to load the software, find the right tab and then change the speed on each fan. There is an option to save a profile with your settings, but it doesn't "remember" your settings between reboots. What good is that if I have to open the software and load the profile every single time I reboot? The Super-Charger software triggers a UAC prompt each boot which is also annoying. I ended up having to create a task that fires the software with elevated permissions. Seriously, rewrite this thing so it can run as a service. How can you make such a great board and then write junk software. I'm subtracting 2 eggs for the software.

Pros: This is a nice sized board that fits in large cases very well. The different angled SATA ports are sort of nice. The overall specs and future upgradeability is great too. The price was pretty average as well. The manual overclocking options in the BIOS are very extensive. The placement of the fan hookups are very logical, unlike other MSI boards.

Cons: There are 4 unbelievably bright LEDs on the board to indicate CPU activity on all 4 cores of your processor. They blink like crazy and it's really annoying. I have a windowed case and I have to sleep in this room! It's just completely stupid. I'm not going to lean over and look at the LEDs to see how taxed my processor is, I'm going to use task manager or process explorer. XMP is disabled by default. Why would anyone turn that off on any board ever? So if you're using DDR with a faster CAS latency than 9, you'll have to remember to turn it on manually. It will boot up without it, just not at the correct timings.

Overall Review: The new graphical BIOS is sort of neat but the mouse doesn't work very well at all in it. Still nice to navigate with the keyboard though. They packed a ton of options into the BIOS as well, more than any other board I've ever seen.

Pros: -Fast -Cheap -Has only the features I need so I'm not paying for stuff I don't use. -Save money on Mobo and get a better gfx card -easy setup and install -good driver support -looks cool -you can turn off the LED's if you want -LOTS of fan 3 pin connectors which is good for cooling your stuff

Overall Review: A++++ mobo, would buy again!!

Pros: Inexpensive, looks nice, pretty neat click bios, and works great....for a couple days.

Cons: Plagued with instability issues. I frequently get the power cycling issue others have mentioned in these reviews and have to reset the CMOS settings to get it to work properly. This is without Overclocking might I add. Lots of BSOD's (Blue Screens of Death) Does not overclock well at all. If your wanting to hit 4.5ghz stable with a i5 2500k this board is not for you. (That is a mild OC for this chip to.)

Overall Review: I've tried everything. I flashed to the latest bios, tested my memory with memtest 86+, and tested individual ram sticks to see if they were faulty. Everything is pointing to the motherboard. Please spend the extra money on a more reliable board. You won't regret it.

Pros: FAST!!! I installed a i5-2500K and 8 GB DDR3 1600 RAM on this mobo and its a beast! Booted right up and installed windows without any issues. Noticeably better quality than other boards. Lots of USB ports!!! A 3.0 to 2.0 convertor for front USB Panels.

Cons: 1 PCI-Express 16 slot Only comes with 2 SATA cables and has 6 sata ports?

Overall Review: This board works great with a i5, and cant beat the price!

Pros: Works with Core i5 2500K, easily overclocks to 4.5GHz. USB 3.0, SATA 6GB/s. My old corsair 1.65v RAM sticks work on this board.

Cons: 1 PCI Express, no firewire, annoying boot up tone. On board audio is not shielded well, there's quite noticeable background noises from onboard interference. When I turn up my speakers, I can hear clearly crackling and humming noises whenever I move my mouse, scroll wheel, or whenever the CPU or GPU runs. I could imagine someone using a headphone being extremely annoyed. The BIOS is fine... mouse interface is hard to click and navigate. BIOS settings don't always save if you click around too much before saving and rebooting. Turbo Boost per # of core settings are non-functional, I only managed to OC by base multiplier, Turbo Boost would never kick in. Documentation is very poor and written in bad English.

Overall Review: I bought openBox, price was ok for a functional P67 board.

Pros: I have to say, this was one of the easiest builds I've done. The MSI board is nice and clean, and pretty sharp looking. It looks and feels like a good solid board out of the box. Installed 8GB of GSkill memory, but plan to put all 16GB in. Good position on SATA connectors relative to my drives. Red RipJaws memory actually looks kinda cool against the blue. Plenty of space for the massive copper CPU cooler. MSI BIOS is pretty cool. Takes some getting use to, as it I am use to the traditional BIOS look and feel. My rig is blazing fast right now. With hardware virtualization and vt-d enabled, I had 3 VMs running without a hickup (Win 2008 R2, WinXP, and Ubuntu all under Windows 7, while editing photos in Photoshop CS4, surfing the web with Firefox4, and watching the Chronicles of Narnia on BlueRay. Driver installation was a breeze. I did not bother with the included disk. Just went to the web site and downloaded the latest to start. Win7 detected everything. No re-install n

Cons: None so far, except I could say more about the pros, but ran out of space :-) But if I have any problems, I'll be back.

Overall Review: The ordering processed was goofed up and I ended up with two orders instead of one. Newegg was prompt in getting everything taken care of so I could return the duplicates, get a full refund, and they paid the shipping. I guess that is why I always buy my computer stuff at Newegg. Customer service is outstanding, even by retail standards, let alone an internet based company. Newegg, I'll never leave you if you keep it up!! Pros: Easy installation, very detailed manual that made setup a breeze. Haven't done any OCing yet, but the BIOS offers plenty of options in that regard. Board is ridiculously sturdy. The CPU socket push-lever requires ridiculous force to snap back into place. This is apparently perfectly normal, but is scary as heck if you're not used to it.

Cons: None so far! Let's hope it stays that way.
