Would I be able to overclock a 4690k on this board?

Overclocking anything on this board is a pain. I spent hours upon hours, day after day researching how to make this OC properly. I scrapped it about 1 week in and went with an Asus Z97 board which took me about 15min to get overclocked and set. If you're planning to take financial shortcuts on a potential OC build, make sure to avoid this as one of them.

Does this come with the 10.2 or 10.1 BIOS?

mine came with 10.0  but i got around august of 2014 had update the bios 2x, the good new is that it's way easier than in the past and if you can DL the bios and have a thumbdrive you should have no issues

It came with the most recent, by now anyway, and yes it supports haswell cpu's right out of the box G3250 and i4430 no problem either cpu both 4th gen haswell's

can I OC my i3 cpu?

The simple answer is that you cannot overclock the i3 in the manner of an unlocked K series processor or the anniversary pentium as the i3 has a locked multiplier. You can, however, attempt to overclock by raising the FSB, however, this can cause stability and generally isn't recommended as the FSB is tied into ram speed and other functions, and recent cpu architectures have not shown to be good at FSB overclocking.

I see that the motherboard has 4 different video signal output ports (HDMI, DVI, VGA, and Display Port). Equiped with cpu that supports triple monitors can this motherboard output to 3 different monitors at the same time?

It will definitely run 2 monitors. I haven't tried 3.

Will this motherboard work with an Avermedia Live Gamer HD? the AMD version will not boot and is not compatable with Avermedia

You may need to try the AVerMedia GL710-AL. It's the newest one and the bugs are worked out now I think. Did you check for newer firmware for the Avermedia Live Gamer.

Can I overclock the G3258 with this motherboard or not? Did the latest update from MSI make this possible?

Yes you can. You just need to update to the latest BIOS (ver. 10.2) found on the support website for this motherboard. I'm running my G3258 on this board at 4.2Ghz right now.

Does this board need a bios update before using the new Pentium g3258?

Not for using it at stock speed no, but it does need a bios update if you intend on overclocking the G3258.
