ASUS P5K SE LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I think this mother board is good for an advanced user that is interested in minimal oc'ing.

Cons: Destroyed a old PCI video card while testing OC'ing. I was waiting for my PCI-X 16 to come in.

Overall Review: Very stable, nice over clocking abilities and is on the OSX86 project list for Mac OSX compatibility.

Pros: Great Board - My first build in five years and everything worked great! The board didn’t recognize the new processor (E8400) until updating the bios (extremely easy and fool-proof).

Cons: IDE connector for the DVD burner. This really isn't a problem - I wanted a round cable anyway so I purchaed one a little longer (36").

Overall Review: As long as you do your research you shouldn't have any problems with this board.

Pros: Once you get it working it seems to be OK. Good board layout, good price. With an E6750, 10K RPM SATA HDD and the 8800GTX video - the system is lightning fast.

Cons: Memory support is poor. Even off the shelf Corsair DDR2-800 memory WILL NOT function in this board without first enabling overclocking (even though I have no desire to overclock) and customizing BIOS memory settings. I couldn't just put this one together and run. I consider this a huge detractor for the average home builder who just wants to put the latest stuff together and run - tons of my time wasted figuring that one out - no posts, random crashes, errors galore, etc, etc. Also - no built in firewire support.

Overall Review: The "AUTO" settings in BIOS give a very false sense of security. I will remember this episode the next time I purchase a mobo. Asus WAS king in my "brand name" book - but I will have a more open mind next time. Buying from NewEgg has been a good experience: cheap, fast and no monkey business !!

Pros: Good board for the money.

Cons: No 1394, but there are other mobos for that. The second RAM bank is a little too close to the power connection for the board. No support for DDR3, as if that matters.

Overall Review: Asus boards have never given me a problem - I've built dozens of systems and they're the only manufacturer I can say that for. This board is no exception: Asus quality without too much of a price difference over its competitors.

Pros: Many pro's to this board. Good for overclocking. Running the Q6600 with ac7pro heatsink, 3x gskill 1gb 1066ddr2, biostar 7300gs vidcard. Everything runs smoothly together. got cpu oc to 3ghz with no problem, good for cheaper gaming pc. recommend to any tech looking for good gamming rig.

Cons: NO CONS. Unlike many others, i have not had any issues.

Overall Review: i would use this board over and over. good for gamming rig, and easy to work with

Pros: Great mobo, very nice oc features

Cons: IDE plug is a pain the rear, sits on the bottom left of the board under the video card. If you run sata, the board is great.. but the IDE port is in a stupid spot.

Pros: Mobo works great. Has lots of o/c features, nice safety features to prevent damage from o/c. As other reviews have stated, the ide port is hard to reach, put I needed to upgrade my ide drives anyway. Works as it should, Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

Cons: Not a con, put for others, Transcend 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model JM800QLU-2G does not work in the mobo. It would post but would not completely load windows. Had to return the ram and get some listed in the owners manual. The ram list can also be found on the Asus web site

Pros: Running a E8200 @3.4Ghz!!! Easy overclocking. Will auto the stff you don't understand.

Cons: Careful with uping the FSB freq... Memory changes as well. Adjust these things manually.

Overall Review: Placement for everything was fine for me. No Sata cables under my graphics card.
