can this motherboard utilize geforce cards , like gtx 1060 with full potential? i can not see any supported geforce card on the motherboard web page

Is it possible to only install  only one processor?

Can confirm, single processor can be used. I'm using an E5-2620V3 and I'm having no problems at all.

What's cool about this motherboard, is that you don't lose any extension functionality with only 1 processor installed. Check out the manual for this motherboard on ASUS' website, and you can see the board layout for yourself.

Btw, CPU1 slot is the one that is furthest from all the backside IO connections.

Go to Asus website, and look up the product page and manual. It will tell you which processors match. I didn't use the exact one you mentioned but similar. However, I confirmed first before buying.

That's where I found what other parts were matching the mobo.

What CPU cooler did you use?

I installed two CPUs on the Z10PA-D8, which is a great server mobo. I used the Intel BXSTS200C thermal solution for both CPUs. They work great, fit perfectly, quiet, plenty of cooling, etc.

Actually it suprized us that it was ATX. We too had expected to be Extended however it fits well in a mid tower ATX case

i7 really should not be used in the C chipset series. You can only use one CPU as the i7 has no QPI link. Just get a Z97 or X99 board depending on the i7 you want to use.

The processors I want to use (dual E5-2620 V4) are supported on this board as of BIOS 3107, according to the Asus product page. The processors are not supported in some earlier BIOS versions. What BIOS level does the board ship with today?

hi, dose this motherboard support dual xeon v4 cpus? although single cpu is stated to be supported in asus webpage , i see many reports that dual xeon v4 is not supported out of the box and need service in asus center( not easy to have one here in Denmark), so dose any one have dual xeon v4 cpus on this motherboard?

You have to look at product page site (asus + Noctua). There is a difference between Noctua fans that fit gaming / workstation boards and there those that fit server board. Please check both sites to confirm matching at both ends.
