DDR4 memory will work just fine in this board. The performance isn't phenomenally better, but a 5-10% boost is still 5-10% more. Ensure you check the compatibility list from ASUS, memory that isn't on the list might not work. I encountered this exact problem, ordered memory that should have worked but wasn't tested and not on the compatibility list.

is this a good motherboard overall bios is fine runs good has usb 2.0 and 3.0 internal connectors?

Yes, it runs good. It has 6 usb ports on the board. I've had this board for awhile and it does a great job for me. I put an I5 in at first but recently went to core I7. The only thing I ran into was 4 of the 5 sata ports, depending on your case. Mine, the metal was molded in a way that I could only get one cord plugged into. After minimal tweaking and bending of the case all is good now.

What is the video output type? DVI? HDMI? Not sure if i need to buy certain cables. Thanks!
