ECS NFORCE 570 SLIT-A (V5.1) LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: The RAID 5 works, i set up winxp on it, then removed a disk from the array, and it still booted!!(took like 30mins or more to boot) Put another drive in and rebuilt the array(that took even longer), awesome!(see other thoughts) You can't really beat this board for the price, just make sure you get some good RAM(see other thoughts). Lots of options in the BIOS. It has 8x SLI, but i'm not using it.

Cons: Does not support DDR2 800 Mhz. I could not get this board to overclock, but it was probabaly the OCZ Gold 6400 RAM, it kept locking it up when i changed anything.(see other thoughts) Works fine at 533mhz though. FSB maximum value is 1300.

Overall Review: Make sure you have all the same model drives if your doing a RAID 5. I initially set it up with 2 seagates, and 1 WD, but the WD failed. Possibly because the seagates use perpendicular technology, and the WD doesn't. When i put in another seagate (same model) the raid worked great. If you have the OCZ gold 6400 RAM, i feel sorry for you cause it sucks, but you CAN get it to work on this board. you have to boot into the bios with some generica 1.8v RAM. Set the RAM voltage to 2.0v set the memory speed to 533Mhz and the FSB to 1066. leave everytihng else at the defaults, save settings, swap RAM. It should work fine now. I could not overclock on this board, probably because of the sh1tty OCZ Memory. Everytime i tried to run at anything other than 533 the system would lock up. I'm trying to help people out with this review, it took a long time to write, so if they remove important stuff from this review, i'm not going to write anymore.

Pros: Before i bought this product from Newegg, i read all revies that people wrote. To be honest with you, i was scared. I thought i made a mistake after i ordered it, but when after i got my system together, it wasnt bad at all. I love my board and Newegg.

Cons: Try to install Windows XP SP1, i couldnt get my LAN and HD Audio running, but Windows XP 64 fixed everything. After that, NO PROBLEMS FOUND.

Pros: This is a excellent investment for a good inexpensive build, easy set up, great for beginners and professional who want a good gamier and able to run SLI and not break the bank account, the board runs very stable so far, what the manual gives, I haven't had to contact ECS for support so I don't know how promp they are. Yes! I plan to buy more of these boards. SLI runs great.

Cons: SLI set up isn't where the manual gives, since it is under NVIDIA I think the updated NVIDIA control panel has changed, still wasn't that hard to find

Overall Review: This board isn't for overclocking, People who want a good computer and run at the manufacturer default settings, this is the board for you

Pros: only motherboard I found in this price range that had all the features I was looking for.

Cons: almost returned as DOA, had to reset CMOS with jumper before I could get anything on display. After loading MB drivers, did not have sound. Had to search install CD to find sound driver and load manually. Be aware that Firewire headers are not on this version MB,its an option when seller orders.

Overall Review: If you have to call ECS support (1-510-226-7333, 800 # does not work) good luck trying to understand "English"

Pros: Great support for everything necessary to build a great system.

Cons: People not reading the specs and then giving it bad reviews when it doesn't quite have everything they want.

Overall Review: To serah, if you read the specs you will see that this board does not have onboard video, so it makes sense that the onboard video wouldn't past POST.

Pros: Im not the sort to write reviews on anything, in fact this is the 1st review ive written, first off newegg rocks, and this board is awesome, great mobo setup, but for one flaw...

Cons: this board is real strict at which mem u use...i think this board only detects pc2 5300's so i reordered the patriots 1 gb

Overall Review: knowing newegg, the stick will probably even ship out today, (ordered it in the morning). newegg is awesome

Pros: Very solid motherboard with great features: supports intel dual core (core 2 duo), SLI with 2 PCIx16 slots, 64 bit support, SATA, and overclocking built into the bios. Easy to hook up. I got the optional gigabit network and 8 channel audio support.

Cons: I installed Windows XP Pro x64 Edition, so I had some 64 bit driver issues (that I was expecting). Everything worked but network and audio. Got the newest 64 bit drivers from ECS's website and that fixed network. Then got newest 64bit drivers from realtek's website (ECS's didn't work) and that fixed audio. You may need to change bios to get RAM to its fastest.

Overall Review: Wanted firewire (1394) but didn't get that option, oops, will get cheap PCI card to fix that. My Intel Core 2 Duo 6400, 2 gigs of Kingston RAM, and Geforce 7900GS are all working peachy. Tech support was ok (contacted about audio, took a couple tries till they passed me onto Realtek's site's drivers, which solved the problem. Just go directly there for audio drivers.)

Pros: Hooked up a core 2 duo e6300, Seagate SATA 3.0gbps drive, and an eVGA 7900GS. System itself works great, good design, and most of all it's a cheap SLI board. Northbridge is quiet and stays cool. PCI arrangemant is nice. Love the built-in audio.

Cons: Other popele said this board OC'd decent, but not for me. Tried to in the BIOS, didn't respond next time I started it up. Tried to OC it using nVidia control panel, and it wouldn't keep at all. Randomly resets, but that's cause it's defective. No wirewire is a negative for me since I do video stuff and my webcam is firewire.

Overall Review: If you want a somewhat decent SLI mobo that supports core 2 duos (which totally rock) and dont' carer about firewire or overclocking, this is definitely a good choice. Decent board, just not for me.
