DFI LP LT X48-T2R LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I have overclocked with this board my Q9450, which is running at 3.3ghz with no voltage increases, this baby overclocks like a CHARM! Not to mention my RAM latencies shot down from 5-5-5-15 to 4-4-4-12 with no changes in voltages either, planning on going lower. I can on the other hand, overclock more, but I happen to be waiting for my Cosmos S case and watercooling to pass 4ghz, which with this motherboard, isn't a sweat.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I had been unaware that there was a northbridge heatsink for about 2-2 1/2 weeks, and my Northbridge was roasting at around 70 degrees celcius, and somehow survived...though after I stuck it on, it cooled off a ton, and my overclocking potential increased slightly.

Pros: Absolutely fantastic board. Great power management features in the bios with little to no vDroop. Memory management works great, with the ability to set aggressive timing delays (if your memory can handle it). FSB setting is a breeze with appropriate bootstrap setups. Having the ability to mount the northbridge heatsink yourself is a dream, as watercoolers can have their way with the board (or aircoolers like myself can use ArcticSilver5 for the mount). Has a post decode feature that is a godsend for troubleshooting. Also fun for those with UV lights as the components are UV reactive.

Cons: The green/yellow color scheme may not be for everybody. Not for Nvidia freaks and there is no SLI. =(

Overall Review: If you want full control over your machine with no roadblocks, GET THIS BOARD! Clunk's UK forum has a big set of listings on how to get started on this beast and has all the post codes for troubleshooting. This thing is a MUST HAVE if you have an intel lga775 chip!!

Pros: The board looks nice, has extensive BIOS settings, has a big but sufficient NB heatsink w/ clips for a fan (i havent had to use it), it is spacious laid out well and includes almost everything you could need on it. easy fsb jumpers (insteada software based), sweet cmos reset & power down button functionality (no more pluckin a battery). along w/ the beep code LED so no more listening for codes...its all right there...seemed to include anything i could have wanted plus some...

Cons: the two ide controllers it uses are optical and floppy. being that 98% of computers are not using floppy, i'd think they could have used the floppy controller for a HDD controller instead...i wanted to use my old 30 gig HDD since it aint being used anywhere else... one of my cpu fan posts wouldnt set easily, took a lot of work to get it to set. granted it could have been an issue with the cpu fan & not the board...

Overall Review: green board w/ green cabling looks cool, i got some green led fans in case & its pretty sweet w/ the black case (raidmax smilodon extreme black)

Overall Review: Memory could be 1/8 inch further away from my massive graphix card

Pros: Excellent board. Overclocks like a champ. It posts almost no matter what you do to it. Lots of options in the bios, and even more if you flash to the latest version. Takes my E8400 to 4000 Mhz on 1.26 Vcore. I can probably go a lot higher but I'm happy with the performance as is. Some people say that a full size vid card won't fit because slot 1 is so close to ram slots, but my 4850 fits no problem.

Cons: Its a bit pricey, but for the build quality I'd say it was worth every penny. Some CPU heatsinks may not fit with the stock NB heatsink that you get with this board, so take measurements to be sure. I personally can't up the vcore past 1.26 unless I set it to below 1.25 and use the VID special add feature. I think a lot of other peeps have this trouble too, but it seems to be a bios issue and not a board issue.

Pros: Excelent layout, 8 sata ports, lots of usb ports, allows custom cooling. X48 allows overclocking w/ less voltage. So many Bios options, you can tweak everything, but extremely user friendly if leave unknown settings on AUTO. Excelent value for being one of the cheapest mobo w/ X48 chipset. Got this one instead of smaller brother because it allows more upgrades. Plus it's made in Taiwan, quality guaranteed.

Cons: It overvolts a little bit, unlike most mobos. Not by much so it's no biggie.

Overall Review: My first DFI, very satisfied so far. Always bought A$*$ but their prices are getting crazy and their mobos are coming from China.

Pros: Everything, I got my Q6600 to 3.6gHz on my first attempt and it's rock solidly stable! I have also gotten my RAM down to 4-4-3-10-1t on stock voltage and this board hasn't flinched!!!!

Cons: None at all!

Overall Review: Q6600, Modified Antec Nine Hundred, HIS 4870, 8GB Mushkin RAM, 800W PSU, 150GB Raptors in RAID0, Windows XP 64-Bit

Pros: Easy install - no problems. Fair amount of features for the price.

Cons: The Northbridge cooler is a bit tricky due to the tight chip placement between the processor and video card. DFI doesn't include a fan, but I placed the processor fan - Cooler Master Hyper TX2 - next to the cooler and that seems to do the trick. DFI could have done a better job here.

Overall Review: The Northbridge setup better lends itself to water cooling.
