I bought mine before the 14th gen came out, but just purchased a similar Gigabyte board and just needed to update the BIOS to run a 14th gen i7 on it. use Q-flash+ to update the BIOS via usb before installing the CPU. Finding instructions was not easy, as the MB manual didn't address it, but i found this manual did (won't let me add a link, so just google this and it should be the first link, from the gigabyte download site): mb_manual_z690-features_n.pdf
