JetWay JBI-600-LF LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Bought this board when it was on sale, free shipping and 10% discount promotion. I like these features: 6 SATA, 2 eSATA, 2 RJ-45, SPDIF-OUT, PWR Reset/On and CMOS Reset buttons. The 2nd CMOS reset button on the back panel helps a lot during the OC setting. OC is not great but is acceptable. I was able to reach 3.4 GHz and stable with 12 gig/1333, cpu/1.35V and VDIMM/1.65. No problem with Vista Ultimate, Win 7 RC1, W2K8 Server and CentOS 5.3. All 64-bit OS. Both RAID 0 and 1 work well

Cons: HW monitor util MyGuard and LAN driver won't work on Win 7 RC1, but not my concern at this moment. JMicron driver for IDE is a bit slower. Therefore get a SATA DVD drive if possible. ATI cross file is supported, but not for nVidia SLI supported.

Overall Review: To get installation and setup ASAP, I always use only 1 stick (2 GB) and the defualt settings. Pros: It works. If you can even say that.

Cons: SLI doesn't work. Overclocking is a joke. On top of all this it seems that Jetway is refusing me a refund because I'm not happy that the board doesn't support SLI like it stated on its site. I sent them an email and they changed it now, but I still have the old one that was up when I bought the board. I hope they decide to change their mind. Maybe if anyone from Newegg sees this they can get a hold of Jetway.

Pros: Good price and adequate features

Cons: BIOS had major problems. This is a new motherboard that was recently released (July 31st, 2009). They HAVE come out with a new BIOS to fix the RAM problem everyone else is talking about, but you have to flash the BIOS. They say that the BIOS fix it to fix problems with Windows 7, but it is the same for Vista only Vista doesn't monitor the RAM the same as Windows 7. ALSO, they have a very poor overclock support. They advertise they got their system to 3.8 GHz, but I can't overclock my RAM and processor at the same time. I can overclock my RAM, but when I add the processor, the system won't even boot. If I just overclock the processor, Windows 7 crashed INSTANTLY when there is any strain put on the system.

Overall Review: I removed 1 EGG for the BIOS issue and 2 EGGs for the overclock issues. I did add 1 EGG back because I did have a good experience with the customer support. I would buy if you don't plan on overclocking and you need something that is cheap.

Pros: Excellent features at a very good price

Cons: Surprising errors in BIOS: (1) I bought 6GB of memory, and 2GB of it is being swallowed by the BIOS (only 4GB available for OS). This problem has been acknowledged by Jetway. It is very surprising that BIOS updates have not fixed this issue yet, given that the advertised memory capacity is 24GB. (2) There seems to be a BIOS issue recognizing USB hard-drives after reboot - they are recognized fine after cold-start, but there is some sort of a time-out during warm-start (reboot). This is only a problem if you are booting off an external drive (I like booting Linux off an external drive).

Overall Review: I plan to replace this board with one made by another manufacturer. Hopefully the replacement will be more mature. It is a shame because the JBI-600 appears to be quite good otherwise.

Pros: It posted the first time and recognized all my memory.

Cons: Couldn't get audio to work then I realized I had to download the drivers. Then it worked. On their website it listed that this board was SLI capable and they included a photocpied page that says it isn't. Even the SLI capable was covered up on the box.

Overall Review: Very good for the price considering I only have dual channel RAM right now. I hope they find a way to make it SLI capable.

Pros: Good mobo overall, has tons of features for the price

Cons: Bios is eating 2 gigs of ram, but im sure they'll come out with an updated driver sometime

Pros: overall great board, performance for the price is good. the northbridge sinks look great as well. It booted up my first try...just make sure to have your ram in A1, B1, and C1. which is actually slot 2, 4, and 6. the blue leds look good and are pretty bright. love the cmos buttons! the LED readout is actually really nice to have, isn't exact, but gives a quick ruff idea. has enough pci-e slots fo what i need :) going to run a liquid cooling setup in near future. Would buy again.

Cons: Southbridge sink is kinda tiny and doesn't look great, but didnt run hot at all. the parts on the board that look light red are actually pink...the ide cable in the box is very short, i used an old one. Definately not best board out there, but great for beginners or budget builders! from what i have read, its a shoot or miss with these boards for problems. i guess i got a good one the first time :)

Overall Review: performance is what really matters, but actually does look pretty good in my HAF

Pros: Had it since 2009 I am writing a now pointless review in 2018

Cons: Not really any, no usb 3.0, which was expected at the time.
