I can get this motherboard to work with two  1 gig sticks of DDR2 800, but not with one 4 gig stick of DDR3 1066. Yes, I switched over the FSB jumper just to make sure. Do I have a faulty board, or is there something I might be missing?

Because, Justin H, The problem is that the first Bank of memory is for DDR2`s and the second bank is for DDR3 Memory, It`s not your fault, that`s something that we both missed, Using One may cause a problem in post up reading. So, use two 2GB sticks in ether DDR2 or DDR3, depending on your processor, and it should be fine.

This is what i bought in person because every set of modules I ordered online had high density chips on them and they wouldnt post and had to be returned.....if ddr3 modules are used with this motherboard they can not have any higher than a 256mb chip on the modules which means the modules must have 8 chips on either side for a total of 16 chips x 256=4096mb per memory module. I bought 2 sets online and was guaranteed that they were dual sided and both were only one sided so I said screw this and went to the store to confirm they had 16chips before purchasing this set. I used an exact part number from asrock website both times and got screwed so I know exactly what you are going through. I looked it up on neweggs app selling for $43.99 thats better than what I paid in person at microcenter for $56.99 so since I did the hard work for you now all you have to do is buy them.

How is the bios? Are a lot of features unlocked, mainly those pertaining to overclocking?

I am not the best person to answer your question as I do not overclock any of my pc builds. I can tell you that you can adjust the memory & CPU voltage in the BIOS. There is also a program that is included on the cd that comes with the motherboard, that allows you to overclock the pc.

Did anyone install this motherboard having already Windows 7 on their Hard Drive from your old motherboard, and did NOT have to clean install Windows 7?   (in other words, I get the Blue Screen of Death trying to use my Hard Drive), and no repair options will work, and today, I do not have my disc with me, but I find most of the time, even a repair from disc will not work.    I had no issues at all booting to Windows XP and installing all the necessary drivers, and is working great.  I have no issues with XP, it is Windows 7 that is the problem.  Were you able to boot up with Windows 10 right away from a previously installed version of the OS on your Hard Drive?

I have not tried this with this motherboard -- that approach can be very problematic in my experience, although I have gotten it to work with some systems. I always recommend a clean Windows install when changing to a different motherboard line. Can you boot in to safe mode on Windows 7 without problem? if so, your BSOD may be caused by mismatched hardware drivers.

Yes, I have an Intel SSD hooked up to it no problem. Obviously much slower on this board than it could be but it's still faster than a mechanical drive.
