Comments: Bought this MoBo to build a new machine for gaming. My other machine I built as well and used the older Soltek SL75DRV4 Purple Ray board. Just like the Purple Ray this board was simple to install and set-up. It is an all around great board I like the 10/100 LAN and even the onboard sound is not too bad. Soltek continues to produce quality MB's at a real competative price. And above all NewEgg ROCKS!!! NO reason to buy from anyone else!!!! Comments: I have had this board for almost two years and have never had any problem with it. Megadeath is wrong. I have one stick of PC2700 512mb DDRRAM on it an dit works flawlessly. I have an FX 5900 ULTRA which is a massive card and it does not even touch the ram, I dont know what his problem is. This board is most likely the best board for the socket A platform. The NFORCE 2 chipset is a must have because most other chipsets bog down your system when you use onboard sould, but the NFORCE 2 chipset handles audio with the buses so the processor doesnt even feel the load. So, you dont need to buy a soundcard to upgrade system performance. PROS - NFORCE 2 is the best chipset for socket A - Overclocking is a breeze with awesome BIOS - You can tell the board to shut down when the system thermal temperature exceeds a certain predefined temperature. - Compatable with every type of memory I have tried. - ITS GOLD!! CONS - I cant load the soltek website at work

Comments: I'm writing a follow up: i bought this mobo about 1 year ago and its still remains flawless...absolutely no problems...im running a barton 2500+ with 2 512mb sticks of Geil Value Ram 3200, running the fsb and ram at 166mhz.. its very stable, very fast, i love the bios, b/c its so easy to use...i highly recommend this setup to anyone b/c it works extremely well (at least under XP sp1).

Comments: I have purchased two of these mobo's now. Getting ready to crank up second. The yellow pcb looks pretty slick, especially if you have a window case. Board is well made, execellent quality, one of few that has nice labels. This boards rocks!

Comments: Very stable board. NewEgg comes through again, they had this for under $50 refurbished at 1 time. I also purchased an AMD XP 2500+ 333Mhz Barton with 512K cache and then some Corsair 400Mhz "Value" DDR 2.5 CAS. All shipped to my door in record time for a mere $250. What an upgrade for the money! I could freely change the CPU multiplier in the BIOS with no modifications to board or CPU. Board layout is excellent, onboard sound is nothing special but mine sounds OK. Boot times are very quick with this board. No mounting holes for a big waterblock or heatsink might deter the serious overclockers, but Koolance product users will have no trouble using their waterblocks since no holes are needed. Motherboard chipset cooling is done very well, lack of a locking AGP slot is a mystery but won't bother anyone who doesn't move their PC often. Nvidia Nforce 2 driver install is painless. I give a big thumbs up to AMD, Soltek, and NewEgg.

Comments: 3 stars because of these negatives. (1.)You MUST purchase 2x256 dual channel DDR in order for this board to boot.(2)You must first install your Dual Channel ram before the video Card because of the tight fit.(3)Lan and usb are located at the bottom of the board thus having to use the cheap mounting plate. No problems on OS/Hardware installs. I've had this board up now for about 5 days and havent had any trouble. So a high 3 i give it.

Comments: I've had this board up and running for about a week now, and it's a good board, not the best board, but a good board. First, the layout is nice, and simple, there is a decent amount of room around the cpu for your heatsink/fan. Memory and connector headers are in good places. Temperatures reported are also very close to accurate. I was able to overclock a previously poor overclocking Athlon 2100XP+ to 11x200FSB! Very happy with that. On the downside, the audio on the board is a bit odd. I tried reinstalling/installing the audio drivers in varies ways, but the AC97 6-channel sound just doesn't work. Even using the AC97 utility on the disc produces an error saying there is no AC97 device, instead it shows up as an Nforce sound controller! It did this before and after the bios flash. Not sure why it does it, but the sound is okay, in JKII, Kyle's voice sounds a little funny, but other then that the board is nice. Somewhat limiting options as far as voltage settings go for oc'ing.

Comments: This mobo is awesome. Buy it. Works perfectly with OC'd Barton 2500+ to 2.2 ghz, Corsair XMS 3200 DDR.
