I plan on buying two of these to run in CrossFire. Does the box come with the CrossFire connector or will I have to buy one separate?

Mine came with a Crossfire bridge connector. Yet, my friend order the same card but his did not come with one. I'm not sure whether this is normal or just not packed correctly.

Performance wise, the difference is minor at best. Haven't tried DA:I yet, but other two ran perfectly for me on this card. I personally opted for this card because it was by far the quietest implementation of the hardware. If you're an overclocker, I'd still advocate this model because the onboard cooling is excellent. My personal track record with Asus built parts had been very good.

Is this card compatible with the MSI 970A G43 Motherboard and AMD FX-8350 Black Edition?

I can't speak to the specific motherboards that you indicated; the requirements listed on the box are the best I can do, as the documentation is basically useless in this regard.  This is what the box says:

"Recommended system requirements
4GB system memory or more for best performance
Mother board with free PCI Express slot and correct PCIe chipset driver
Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 (32 or 64-bit)
Minimum 500W system power supply (with a minimum or 12V current rating of 24A)"
 
I hope this helps you.  If your mother board has a suitable PCIe slot and bios code, and your power supply is beefy enough, it ought to work.

So far, it's working fine in my system.

I have an Asus Sabertooth 990FX motherboard, will this work with it?

It will indeed. Just make sure you're using at least a mid-tower, this thing is a big beast.

i have a custom built mid-sized tower with an asus p8z68-vlx motherboard and wondering if this card would work with it?

I believe that it would, but only at PCI Express 2.0 spec.  My motherboard uses the same PCIe 2.0 slots and has no problems.  This is an awesome card.  I liked it so much I bought two.  I get extremely high framerates with the two cards in CrossfireX.

Question 6

I have a gaming grade motherboard(gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 with AMD A10-6800K) but it only support up to pci-e 2.0, and I know this card should have compatibility with it, but will I be losing considerable performance performance because I have pci-e 2 or is negligible? also one of the reason I am planing to buy this card is because the 4GB Vram, Is that Vram effect by the lower speed pci-e 2.0?

Hi Pedro. I can answer your question for you though I'm on my iPhone atm so I won't be as thorough in explanation.

You're asking about speed and performance being significantly degraded because of your Motherboards PCIe 2.0 Vid Card limitation. A 2.0 transfers information from your Vid card twice as fast as a 1.0 and a 3.0 transfers information twice as fast as a 2.0. Keep in mind that this doesn't become noticeable even remotely, especially so with this beast of a card, because of load capability and reaching that threshold is rare if not improbable. That should give you a blunt idea of your limitation.

Concerning this Vid Card, it's got more RAM and Clock Speed with almost the latest version chipset all packed into a quieter and cooler card than almost any other card. It's basically your best bang for your buck when it comes to the Elite and I personally love how ASUS always goes above and beyond in their quality.

I'm actually using an older Mobo myself with a 2.0 slot and I can't max this card out. Good luck trying. I hope that helps you enough. :)

does my pc support this grapics card if not what would I need? I have a (asus m11bb) nothing has been added to the pc by me so its all factory right now

You would want to make sure there is space in your case its a full size card its also pretty heavy so some motherboards aren't strong enough to support the weight, as well as confirm you have enough power to run the system plus this card. I would say that you would want at least a 600 watt power supply depending on current system needs. If you have that met just make sure you have a PCI x16 slot. It usually isn't t a good idea to put a large card in a small case due to heat buildup. Hope this helped.

I have a 500W Bronze certified Silverstone Power Supply. Do you think this will work well enough for a couple of months till I purchase a new 750W?

I don't see why you would have any problems even sticking with the 500W PSU, unless you plan to do a heavy overclock on your CPU/GPU. This particular card only uses ~225W, and depending on the load it may not even hit that

Id recommend seeing just how much your system actually pulls before planning to upgrade your PSU-unless its starting to show age/wear

Hey, i was just wondering I am building a custom build and I'm new to this. What specs do I need? What I mean is what wattage do I need for my power supply, what +12 volts amps do I need, and do I need some sort of special 6 pin connection to my PSU? I've used some calculators, and they said 24Amps on the +12 volt line and 1 6 pin connector. Is this correct? Also the calculator said that my like  PSU needs at least 500 watts. Is this number the total of my PSU , or just how much this card takes. Should I buy a 500 watt PSU, or get 500 and add it to my other components? Sorry for the length, hope you guys answer. Thanks!

Don't worry about amps watts are what we want to pay attention to amps are what will be drawn from your homes main electrics. I currently use a 1300 watt supply in my rig, you shouldn't need this as  i have a fx 9590 and 2 of these cards, usually you will want to have at least an excess power output on the PSU meaning you dont want to have 450 watts of components on a 500 watt supply. This will cause the power supply to be at almost 100% constantly which will shorten its life expectancy and can cause problems with the components. It would be better to have 600 or even 750 watts output on a supply if your rig draws 450 watts, this will give you a little wiggle room for upgrades, these cards take 200 watts at full load according to my power monitor, so you will definitely want to add that to the watts the cpu of your choice takes. Example my cpu takes 220 watts plus 400 for the two cards, so 620 watts plus about 50 watts for other components, i could get away with an 800 but i plan for upgrades. Almost forgot these cards have two six pin connectors for power so choose a supply with this or use the adapter included in your box.

I had issues with a crappy Rosewill Hive 750, and had to upgrade to a Corsair 850 to resolve my issues.  So, therefore I would have to say no don't take the risk.  Upgrade the PS.  The card is worth it.
