No, It requires  minimum of 400 watt power supply. I have a 450 watt supply without any problems except recently lost power to the building I live in and my UPS reserve dropped from 28 minutes to 22. Still more than enough tie to shut down gracefully.

Once I put this card in and installed latest drivers my monitors are blacking on occasion, each time for about 5 secs. Not playing any games, just opening Quicken and monitors may all go black and the box halts for about 5 secs... With my old, simple video card this never happened. What could be the cause of this? Appreciate any ideas / suggestions. Thanks!

Hello Alex happy new year to you. I would try re-installing the drivers again. Also would re-open the case and check to see ifthe card is seated well into the  PCI express slot. Are you connected to the hdmi or dvi port? May try switching connections or swapping out cables to ensure it's not the cable being loose or bad. If those fail to fix your problem you may have received a bad card unfortunately.

Is this card compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 3?

My mobo is the Asus M5A97 R2.0 With the Phenom II X4 965 or 975 CPU. I should be fine with my power supply though since I'm running a 750w. But if it's not Windows XP compatible, then I can't use it.

All PCIE 3.0 cards are backwards compatible with PCIE 2.0. You will be fine. I use a RX 460 in a PCIE 2.0 with no issues.
