Is this the OC variant? If not what's with the increased price.

This is the RTX 3080 TUF-RTX3080-10G-GAMING.  The OC version is the RTX 3080 TUF-RTX3080-O10G-GAMING .
The OC version costs more for some reason. I have this version the non OC version. I see no reason to OC at this time, but this card eaily over clocks with the Asus software. 
This card looks identical to the OC version, only the sticker on the card is different. The bottom line is if you can get any version of the Asus card get it! The card is beautiful with metal case and contra rotating fans. The ROG STRIX is a larger than the RTX 3080 TUF-RTX3080-10G-GAMING and theRTX 3080 TUF-RTX3080-010G-GAMING.
They are all excellent cards! Grab any of them and be happy.

It does, but it's just the logo area.  You can choose from a few basic presets with their Aura software.

you cant run two of these at the time the only 3000 series that supports dual cards is the 3090

No SLI but you can still run two of them for rendering/editing. 2 of these have 70% more cuda than a 3090 for the same price.
1000w min, 1200 better (2xTDP plus CPU TDP plus fan power)
