Question 1

I'm thinking of trying this on a dated Dell OptiPlex GS270 Form Factor (P4,3.2Ghz,Win7) I have in spare room for guests, which has both PCI and AGP slots.

Going back and forth between Dell and Nvidia (who do not agree on whether to go AGP vs. PCI; the former AGP and the latter PCI), but in that Nvidia had better know graphics cards, they contend this is the better option, especially as it's transferable to a more modern computer when ready. Dell says never mind the transfer; the new PC will be modern PCIe anyway and the AGP more interim stable. Nvidia says AGP not more stable than lastest PCI cards, which this represents the very optimum of the PCI era.

Still, this card is overpriced for yesteryear technology and the logical thing to do is not spend more than $10.00 on a disposable part. If this were priced more reasonably, I would not be so tossed.

(Just trying to bring my system score up from the 1 it's scoring now, held back by the integrated Intel graphics. Not a gamer. Just basic graphics, video and interactive software.)

Anyone with this similar specs using this card, particularly after trying AGP?

We use several PCI cards to add a 3rd or 4th monitor to older systems w/o having to pay for higher priced Dual/Multi monitor cards.  If all you are after are basic graphics I would say this chipset is more than fine, even for streaming video.  I would go with PCI though... except for the very latest Mobo's, most have at least 1 PCI video slot... AGP is dead and has been for some time.  The chance that you would be able to reuse an AGP card is must slimer, from my point of view, than a PCI... most likely in the same scenario as we do... as adding another monitor to a system.  Being a grant funded research dept., I'm constantly keeping old systems bumping along, scavenging parts, etc because noone has money... I've only had to use an AGP card once in the past 3 years, but have used several PCI.

Question 2

Are Windows XP drivers available for this card?

A quick search on the Geforce site shows that there are XP drivers for this card with a date of March 17th, 2014.  I cannot vouch for their functionality because I used this card with Windows 7, but Geforceis usually pretty good with support if the driver is listed for said operating system.  Good luck!

will this graphics card work with my HP Pavilion a814x?

According to the HP website your HP Pavilion a814x does have 3 PCI slots. So this card would work, however due to the age of the machine I doubt you'll see much in the way of performance increase.

will this card work with wow?

For World of Warcraft? Yes it will but It may not give you the fps you are looking for but you can just lower the graphics settings on WOW and you should be fine if you are having any issues beforehand.

My mother board is Askrock 775i65GV that has AGIx8 and Regular PCI Slot's. Because of limited AGI cards im loking for a regular PCI card ( not PCI-e ). Is this card compatible with my motherboard ? Does it suport windows 7 ?

Yes, it will work in a standard PCI slot and works fine on my Win7 machine.

Question 6

Is this video card compatible with (or will it work properly in) an emachines et1352g desktop computer?  I know that my computer has a PCI slot, but I can't find anything about how much power it will supply to the card.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  -Bill

Okay I don't know if this will help but I will document my experience with the card. I have tried this card in two PCs. The first one is an HP Compaq dc7700. The card improved the performance of that PC a decent amount and helped it run games it couldn't before. It might run some modern/recent games on lower setting if you're trying to get max performance out of an older PC. I next tried it in an older Dell PC (from around 2003) and although the Dell had the right PCI slot, I could not get it working. I'm not sure why. Generally I would recommend it if you want to get max performance out of an older PC, I would only give caution if it's a Dell. It may be a risk but at least I can confirm this hardware was able to increase the performance nicely of a PC with a dual core processor.

is driver compatibility with windows  x p media center?

Media Center is just an app added onto XP, and since this card does have drivers for XP (and XP x64) on the nVidia site I don't see any reason media center compatibility would be an issue.  I can't say that I used the card with XP Media Center with 100% certainty, I would make the purchase - worst case you have to return it for another card.

Will this video card support multiple monitors or projector, simultaneously? Do you need an additional power supply?

Yes it supports two monitors.  It doesn't need another power supply.

will this work with the dell e310?

Yes, it should. The only expansion slots are PCI (as opposed to AGP or the newer PCI-Express). This card is PCI, so you should be good to go.

I want the ability to run at least 2 or more monitors from the card (independent from motherboard VGA).

How many monitors can this card support at the same?

My Systems: Dual Xeon Processors, 8-16GB Ram, SATA, to be installed in PCI-X (64bit) slots.  Power Supplies: 600 to 1400 Watts.

Yes but I would choose a different one problems with sound lining up with video cause card too slow.. My IT guy picked this and installed it... Wish I could fire him but I am not the boss... Lol
