Does this thing have crossfire capability? Is it really 8 Gb GDDR5, I'm wondering because that is an amazing price for such high powered products?

Yes, the Crossfire capability is built into the card. The cards use PCIe bandwidth to communicate. Each card has 8GB. In Crossfire, the 8GB is mirrored. Yes, it's an excellent price for the cards; I bought 6 of them to use in 3 PC's. I've used NVidia and AMD cards for years and I prefer AMD because the software is more stable and games look better on my 65" screen. The AMD CCC software has a check box to enable Crossfire for games and apps that normally don't support it. That means no more pixilation, artifacts, or low fps because the game doesn't support Crossfire.

Exactly how long is this GPU?

320mm. I had mine installed on a atx mid tower cougar solutions and it fits well.  Now I have a corsair 780t (for better airflow)

Does this have HDMI 2.0? i have a 4k TV, the only way to get 4k @ 60hz on it, is buy using a card with HDMI 2.0.

The display resolution on AMD Radeon HD7000 series is quadrupled to the resolution of 4KX2K( 4096X2160 ) from the outputs of DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI.

but it says this for the cable it ships with...
HDMI 1.4a high speed 1.8 meter cable(Full Retail SKU only)

so i would think it only has HDMI 1.4a which is only supported on 4k up to 30hz.

display port 1.2 which this card has does support 4k, supports 4k at 60hz on a single cable.

guess it all depends on the monitor you have.  i would think almost any 4k monitor out these days has display port 2.0 on it, unless its one of those crazy cheap korean monitors.

Question 4

Whats the difference between this one and the orange version of this? All I can tell is this one doesn't have any specs compared to the orange colored one.

Mine is the blue model. The Blue and the orange are basically the same with a few exceptions: The Blue card also has Dual BIOS ( Legacy and UEFI ) support where the orange only has UEFI which is fine as long as your motherboard has UEFI support (as long as it's one of the newer motherboards it should) .

The most important difference is that the blue card is one of Sapphire's Vapor X cards which has the best cooling that Sapphire or any manufacturer (IMO) has to offer short of a real water block that cools the GPU real well but, not necessarily the other components so much. A Vapor X card actually uses a liquid vapor to cool not only the GPU but the other components as well. Under full stress my card never gets hot.

Another important difference is that the blue card uses Black Diamond Choke & Full Solid Cap Design Sapphire writes about it on their page for this card.

So to sum it up they are very similar cards in design but the blue card offers
1.) superior cooling
2.) superior components
3.) Dual BIOS ( Legacy and UEFI ) Support
4.) A SAPPHIRE Intelligent Fan Control switch (you can read about that on Sapphire's page for this card.) 
5.) And lastly the card has a really cool light up Sapphire logo that changes color depending on the cards temp but, as long as your case has good cooling I doubt you will ever see the red color.

So even if you don't take #5 into account since it's just bling their are more than enough reasons to justify the little extra the blue costs over the orange which is still a very nice card.

whats the clock speeds on this?

GPU clock @ 308MHz
Memory clock @ 150MHz

I enabled Graphic Overdrive with an increase of 4.9%

High Performance memory clock currently at 1375MHz

I have current issues with my memory board and/or my Win7 pro.  OS whereas the screen will go blank with only the mouse left enabled.  I'm not sure its all about this graphics video atm.

Is this the same card as the sapphire vapor-x? I'm confused as newegg has a separate listing for the vapor-x 290x.

This is the Vapor-x card.  Vapor-x technology is an addition to the Tri-x tech.  Newegg tends to change the naming at times.  To double check, I always go to the Sapphire website.  Just an addition hint, all Vapor-x cards are Tri-x and are blue.  Plain Tri-x are that orange-yellow.

Is there a way I could turn off the LEDs?

I've seen no place to turn off the LEDs, either physically on the card or in the Catalyst software.  I kind of appreciate the fact that they are there, because they change color with the heat of the card... (starts out blue > green > yellow > orange > red.  Nice visual cue relating to temp.

Will this card fit in a mid-sized case?

Yes, I was able to install mine into a mini tower.  A couple of things to be aware of with a card of this size.  You need to have enough room to fit 305mm length, and the card will take about 2.5 slots, so essentially it is a 3 slot requirement.  It doesn't quite take up all the room of third slot, but just enough to not be able to install anything into it.  Otherwise this is a fantastic card with the Omega 14.12 driver.  Running 4k (3840x2160) while maintaining acceptable performance (~40 to 60 fps).  Stays quiet and cool, barely touches 60C.

I recently purchased the SAPPHIRE 100361-8GVXSR Radeon R9 290X 8GB video card.  I just noticed that Windows 7 and Asus CPU-ID software only recognize 4GB of RAM on the card.  Is anyone else having the same issue?

What would the power requirements be for two of these running crossfire?

I wouldnt go with less than 900W from a reputable PSU maker like Corsair or Antec, etc. I run two of these on an EVGA1300G2 (1300W).

BTW, you may want to wait---the 390X is coming out sometime this year, and it looks to be a beast.
