Is this compatible with Asus Motherboard? chipset: ite IT8712F-S
it's a pretty old motherboard..

Googling the chipset brings up old 2009 AMD motherboards with PCI-e 1.x slots. Since PCI-e 2.x is backwards compatible, the card should fit and work. But it's going to be severely throttled by the speed of the PCI architecture and the older processor bus.

I'm using it with a Haswell i5 in an ASUS P87-PRO's PCI-e 3.0 x16 slot. I would be dubious about using it with anything older than Sandy Bridge and PCI-e 2.0 for performance purposes.

i have a 500 watt power supply. what is a cheap and good power supply that can go with this card?

The power consumption of this card is no greater than 300 Watts. It works perfectly with my Corsair CX500 500W PSU. No issue at all.  If your PSU has at least one 6 pin PCI-E and an 6+2 pin PCI-E power connector, and you don't have a CPU over 150 watts, it will be fine.

Can this card do DirectX 11?

Yes, with Win 7 or newer and DX 11 installed.  Check machine by typing "dxdiag.exe" (no quotes) in the search\run box.

I was just wondering if (2) of these cards will fit on a MSI P55 Fuzion MB? Im assumming they will, but was just get a confirmation before ordering...thanks

Yes, it will fit on your MSI P55 Fuzion board. Your MB has at least 2 PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots, it will work if you have a 700w PSU or better.

Can this card run 3 monitors on its own?
My current card has vga/digital/HDMI but will only operate 2 at a time.

This card will run 2 monitors on its own. To have 3 or more, you need two of these cards in SLI. Disregard the other answer, this is a fact and there is no way to run 3 monitors on one of these.

does anyone know how to flash the bios to open up the voltage and fan speeds?

If you go to EVGA and download their monitor program (EVGA Precision X) it will allow you to modify fan and voltage settings from there. Anything related to your MOBO would need to be downloaded from your MOBO manufacturer's website.
