What is the difference between this and the Evga gtx 980 acx 2.0?

A lot. The PCB is laid or differently, with more power phases, and it comes with a factory overclock. It's made for those who plan to water cool, or those who have the money and want a guaranteed overclock out of the box. I can't recommend it to you unless I know your budget and what you plan to use it for. I can say that the FTW is a much better option when speaking strictly value for the money (had it been available first it would have been my first choice as I run the cards on air), but if you plan to water cool, I'd also look at the AIO, which comes with the same factory clocks (and a standalone water loop), or this card if you have (or plan on building) a custom loop. Question 2

The power cables that seem to come with this, what kind are they? My psu has two 6+2 pci-e slots available, but these cables look different than what i already had. I had an 8pin to split 6+2 and 6 pin, what cables would I need to make this work?

I used the 6 plus 2 pin pci-e cables that came with my power supply with no problems.  I did not even open the bags for the ones that came with the video card.  The card simply takes 2 8 pin pci-e connections.  Use the ones that came with your power supply if possible.

Can I use a PCIE 3.0 x16?

Yes, of course.. All of the nvidia 9xx series gpus are pic-e 3.0 compatible with x16

Hi

I currently own (2) GTX 770 Classified and I was wondering if the two of these cards would make a noticeable increase in performance?  I was only curious being the specs don't seems much higher and I would hate to ( side grade ).  I'm only gaming at 1902 x 1200 and don't plan on 4K for a long time.

770 sli would slightly win,but the 980 classy can really overclock ,its already 1393mhz oc it can reach 1500mhz an more with stock volts, an there a voltage tool to add more volts to get speeds to 1700mhz,at this speed it could beat 770 sli.an dont forget the new tech with the 980 that are amazing,so it wont be a sidegrade,but upgrade .you could add another later to.hope this help

As we are aware, EVGA's 970s coolers can get a bit loud...how is the noise and sound signature at load?

if it's anything like the acx 2.0 (which it is just a tad bit bigger fans) as the 980 sc i have, it is very quiet at load even when overclocking,  i have an aggressive fan profile and it is still acceptable to me!
