Does it take up 2 slots or 3?

3 the backplate is 2 slots but with the fans the card occupies 3 slots total and really you dont want anything right on top of the fans so think of it more like 4 slots.

Question 2

Kind of superficial, but in regards to the Zotac logo on the side and bottom, is yellow like pictured? Or can you change color via RGB lighting?

They can be adjusted to any color you wish at 3 different areas on the card, the Zotac on the top and front along with the line across the front. There is also a option for the brightness of the LED's along with different mode's like static, breathing, strobe, cycle and wave. If you want no lights you can also turn them all off.

What is the difference between this and core?

When I got the card I was having a hard time telling the difference too. I went with the Extreme because it has higher clock rates and it's cheaper. Now looking at Zotac's website The AMP! Extreme has the higher clock rates with "Metallic ExoArmor with wraparound backplate". The AMP! Extreme Core has lower clocks but "Metal ExoArmor with wraparound backplate". So the Core is more expensive because it's real metal? Lol.

Anyone else have issues with display diver crashes and this card when it hits 65c + ?

Any overclock to 2ghz?

Same here. Even without touching the clock rates just the power boost it gets up to 2ghz easy. From looking at different review sites it seems to top out around 2050Mhz but depends on the sample. Mine hits 2050Mhz and I haven't really tried to go for max.

When I'm going to check out it appears the Nvidia promotion so ill receive the game or no?

Why did Newegg use rendered images for the product page instead of photos of the actual product?  The first picture is a dead giveaway, the pcb with all its components is not flat.  (the capacitors are the easiest to spot as we know those aren't flat in the least.)
