The Intel RAID Controller RT3WB080 is a cost-effective solution for state-of-the-art performance and data protection for high-capacity SATA drive-based systems. The RT3WB080 with eight internal 6Gb/s ports also includes LSI’s SAS2108 6Gb/s RAID on Chip (ROC) silicon, a native PCI Express 2.0 architecture, and other powerful features such as RAID 6 and advanced RAID management. Because the RT3WB080 is built on SAS technology, it is compatible with SAS expanders, including support for up to 16 physical devices. Intel RAID Controller RT3WB080 offers self-encrypting drive support with Intel premium features, along with an optional battery backup that maintains data without the need for an uninterruptible power supply.
Powerful Performance and EconomyLSI SAS2108 ROC technology, x8 PCI Express Generation 2 host interface, and 256 MB of 800 MHz cache offer excellent performance for budget sensitive mainstream SATA-based storage solutions.
