do i need a special charger for these?

A few people have recommended a standard battery charger. That's not quite true. The older style of rechargeable batteries were Nickel–cadmium battery, and they take their own charger. Now these batteries are nickel metal hydride batteries or better known as NiMH batteries, and they MUST have a charger that will charge NiMH batteries. It's a good idea to spend a few extra bucks, and get a "Smart" Charger that will sense when the battery is fully charged, and will turn itself off when the batteries are fully charged. Using a Smart Charger will ensure the battery doesn't over-charge. This will ensure a nice long life for the battery.

Where are your Lithium cells ? How do they compare?

They do not make them, have to buy from someone else.
