Not sure if my Skylake question posted...I was wondering if this will be fine with a Z170 board, with a i5 6600k, single MSI GTX 960 4gb.? Or, is the HXi better suited?

I'm running this with MSI Z170, MSI GTX 970, 6600k and 2x 8gb corsair vengeance DDR4 and its running great.  I don't have power consumption stats handy though.  Also, I haven't overclocked anything yet.

Can I hook this up with Skylake? i5 6600k and single GTX960 4gb. PCI-e, M.2 ready and all?

This unit has a limited amount of cables.  I'm running a Gigabyti GA-990FXAUD3 and a Gigabyti GTX750 2gb with a single 6 pin card connection.  I just had enough cables for my rig but no spares.  Unit has more than enough power to support your rig, just watch your cable usage.

Is there any reason at all to choose the RM750X over this PSU?

the only differences that i can see are that the 750X does not have Corsair Link, it is 6th Gen. Intel Core Processor Ready and it has a longer warranty (7 years vs. 5 years on the 750i). Other than what I just pointed out they appear to be the same PSU.

Will this psu fit a Dell xps 8700 case?

I think it is a little larger than the dell stock PSU, and if it did fit you would be mounting it upside down to align the mounting holes.  If you want a nice clean fit, without obstructing airflow in the case, I don't think it will work for you.

Is this PSU better then the TX corsair model?

I am not aware of a TX series, but the RMi series is a moderately high-end series with digital interface for Corsair's system monitoring hardware/software product.  It is very quiet and produces very consistent voltages.  There are AX, HX and CX lines - both the AX and HX are advanced lines; the CX/CX-M and CS series are more consumer-grade product lines, with not quite the same level of precision components.  Corsair lists all their PSU series on their website with intended usage for each series.
