Thermaltake A2397 Aluminum 2.5" IDE USB 2.0 Silver River R2.5 Enclosure

Turn a standard 2.5-inch Parallel ATA hard drive into a portable USB 2.0 storage device with the Thermaltake A2397 Silver River aluminum external enclosure. The silver aluminum casing acts as a heatsink, to keep the hard drive cool during operation and help dissipate heat quickly when you’re done. No fans mean less noise in your work environment.

Once you've installed a hard drive inside this slim enclosure (it measures 5.04" x 3.11" x 0.64"), you simply connect the bundled USB-to-USB cable between the drive and your computer. There's no external power necessary, either, since the drive gets its power from your computer. There's even a power switch on the drive to let you shut it down and keep it from using your laptop’s battery—something you won't find on many portable units this size.
