Question 1

Hi I was looking at the macally case and wanted to know if it would support a solid state drive from toshiba with no problem. Most likely this product, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820168089&cm_re=toshiba_solid_state_drive-_-20-168-089-_-Product

From what I can see of the Toshiba drive, it looks like it would fit with no problem.  I've had no issues with the enclosure.  It does what it's supposed to and I'm happy with the purchase.  My only concern is that it has very little ventilation.  It's aluminum, so it's a good heat sink, but there's not much air flow.  The USB cable it comes with is very short and the mini USB connector is proprietary.  I'm not sure how easy it would be to buy a longer cable with that same connector.  The blue LED on the enclosure is insanely bright.

I am wondering if the usb 3.0 and firewire 800 cable are included or not?

Yes those cables are included, as the USB port on the enclosure is a non-standard (not a type A, B or mini) and requires a special cable.  I usually use the FW 800, but for some the USB is more versatile.

Question 3

Will the bus-power work for the Firewire 800 if that is used with an Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter?

Storage enclosure is great.  Very sturdy, quality built.  
I have an older Mac Book Pro 15 and I know the Firewire 800 works absolutely fine on my MAC laptop and USB3 connection on my PC laptop.

However, I do not know about the connectivity of the Firewire 800 with an Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter.  I would GUESS it would, but only a nontechnical GUESS on my part.

Question 4

This appears to have a power supply connection. What are the specs for such an A/C to DC power adapter?

This drive does use an external power brick, which comes with the case.  The specs on the brick are strange.  The input is listed as 100 V - 240 V, and the output is listed as 12.0 V at 2000 Ma, and as 5.0 V at 2000 Ma.  There are 4 pins in what I *think* is called a DIN plug.
