not sure. the length width and height may be the same, but the cutout in the case where the exhaust side of the PS mounts may not be the same. some factory PS's are shorter to make room for lengthy DVD-CD players on the top Bay. measure and compare. The dell E520 power cord mounts on the right side if you look at the back of the case. The Antec 620C will need to be flipped 180 degrees from what the picture shows, putting the power cord to the left instead.

Q: I bought this a while back and have stored it until I upgraded my system. I bought a mobo from newegg, etc and when I flip the power switch, the mobo light comes on but not the power supply fan. I never hear the power supply fan. Is it broken because nothing happens, nothing on the monitor, no power to the mobo processor fan, for example?

Power supply has two volt source +12V and +5V, board will lite up with just +5V, working, but needs +12v to boot.my last PC repair I thought I had bad Mobo,but no it was power supply sent +5v but not +12.would lite up but not post bios

i didn't use mine yet i just got it for a spare in case i need it..... according to the manual there are:..... -two 8-pin (6+2) PCI-E (only for 620W)..... -one 8-pin (6+2) PCI-E + 6-pin PCI-E (only for 520W)..... i'm not sure what all that means, but there are a total of 19 connectors on 8 cables coming out of the box..... check ( /manuals ) on the antec site and it should list all the info you need

It does not appear that Antec certifies this PSU for Haswell. You should probably consider a different model, one that explicitly states Haswell compatibility.

I'm surprised how wrong all this advice is. Everyone overbuilds their PSU. Ideally you want the PSU to work around 80% at load.

A 250-watt GPU, 88-watt i7 (mine overclocked to 4.6GHz has a 134-watt TDP according to CoreTemp) and a few HDD's/SSD's (5-10 watts each) are well within the power envelope of a quality 600-watt PSU.

When taking into account GPU's are just getting more efficient, it's a safe bet your next card will be less power demanding, making the need for a PSU with more than ~650-watts completely ridiculous for any single-GPU PC (unless you have more than one physical CPU or 20 hard drives...)

More importantly than load power is idle power. Remember, PSU's are incredibly inefficient below 10-15% load. If you get a 800-watt PSU and you're system idle is less than 80-watts (which is highly likely with an Intel CPU and a single GPU) then you're PSU's conversion efficiency is around 65-70%. This means it will use over 100-watts of electricity to run <80-watts of hardware.

Over the course of a year, 20 hours idle a day, that means, at 12 cents a kwh, you're wasting around $10/year in electricity AND you paid MORE for an unnecessarily bigger PSU.
