Can this run off a US standard 120v 15amp wall outlet or does it need a 240v?

Works with 120 volt. However depending how far away from your power box there may be voltage drop. So this psu can totally use everything on 120 and if there's anything else on the circuit its going to blow a fuse.

This model, I believe, is just the regular Antec High Current Pro Platinum PSU, as mine does not have the USB plug. Try searching Newegg for the "Antec HCP Platinum Grid Series" specifically. What gauge size are the harnesses?

The sleeves are very thick but the wire itself seems about standard. An in-depth magazine review may have it. The reason that I am commenting is that it is an awesome PSU. I have never used one better. BUT...This is important. There is a 24 pin cable and then the other end is terminated into a y cable. One y is 20 pins and the other y is 8 pins. There is no clear instruction that BOTH of the y cables have to be hooked into the PSU. I had stripped my computer apart twice and was ready to send the whole thing back until I noticed this in a website article. It was not intuitive to me. The 24 pin cable into the mobo and the fat cable into the PSU. Seemed straightforward.
