What is the maximum terabyte capacity that this enclosure will support? Please advise.

I seem to remember that it will take a 2 TB drive.  I've only used 1TB drives in my backup process.  I basically had 4 of the 1TB drives that came out of a RAID 5 brick that I still wanted to use and the enclosure was perfect for that.

I don't use very often but it works like a charm.

Question 2

Will this allow me to use a 3.5" to 2.5" converter bracket for a 2.5" HDD? Reason I'm asking is I have 15mm thick 2.5" drives utilizing 12 volt power sources, and I cannot find ANY 2.5" only enclosures for this size and power requirement drive.

Generally, a 2.5"-to-3.5" converter will make the smaller drive occupy the same space as a larger one and put its data port, power port, and screw holes in the same places as a 3.5" drive's. So unless your converter is very strange, it should work just like putting it into a PC with a converter.

Will it work with Win 8?

I only use mine with Window 7 but it works great.  It was my way to salvage four good 1TB drives from an old IOMEGA four drive brick that died an early death.

Question 4

The product description says it is compatible up to 6 TB but the specs say it is capable of converting hdd to external storage up to 4 TB. I have a 5 TB drive I'd like to use as external storage, so I'm unclear on whether or not this enclosure can achieve my need? My current enclosures currently understate the drive size based on their relative capacity, leaving space wasted and thus creating my need for something that will utilize the full 5 TB of space the drive contains.

I have a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 750 Gbyte drive that needs a new case. Will yours work with this?

What cable do I need to connect my ProBox enclosure to my iMac, not the usb connecter, one of the other two on the back - each different but marked with the firewire symbol?

A plain cable won't work.  a firewire to usb adaptor may work.  A google search of "firewire to usb 3.0" newegg's  USB / IEEE-1394 FIREWIRE ADAPTERS category.
