Will this tray accept TWO laptop DVD units or do you have another model that will?

Yes. I was able to attach the DVD unit to the bottom area where a 2.5" SSD drive unit that I bought it for.

What problem I ran into and the reason I did not use this attachment was I was putting it into a small form factor case that had a trap door to hide a full size DVD drive.  The Laptop DVD would not open because the trapdoor opening was to small to allow tray to open.

I have kept the bracket to use on another full size case.  The other hard part was attaching the screws to the lower part of the bracket took a couple tries.  A good magnetic screw driver would help if the screws are ferrus.

Question 2

Where can I find a cable to plug in a laptop optical drive to a desktop? I'm having no such luck. Key words for a search would be great if you can't send a link.

Question 3

Will this hold both a 2.5" SSD and a 3.5" HDD at the same time?

Yes but you may not get 4 screws in the SSD drive.  They are light enough to only use 2 screws and not suffer from it.  SSD's have no heat to dissipate or spread out ususally.

Question 4

Does the bracket come with a cover where the dvd might go, or as pictured with the slot vacant? I may want to add a dvd drive later but I dont want it open in case I dont add the drive.

There is no cover for the Slim DVD slot. It is made for those people that want to mount a Slim DVD and a hard drive in the usual location for a single standard DVD drive.

if you have a open 5 1/4 inch slot then it will fit in that slot, or you can pull a CD or DVD drive out and install it there.
