Will I still be able to use my drive bay covers? I have a Corsair Vengeance C70 and like the clean flat look of covers.

I used two of these in my Corsair 900D. I also prefer the clean look of the chassis with all bay covers on and I was still able to keep the bay covers installed. Not sure if that would be the case with that chassis or not, but it does seem that they were designed to allow for it.

Will this unit slide & click into place of where a DVD-RW drive is, in my case a Dell Optiplex 740? There's a locking tab, lift up & the optical drive comes out. Is this device a drop in fit for 5.5" optical drives w/out modification?

This will not replace a slim-line optical drive, it is intended for full height drive bays.
