This is the # I was told by the Geek Squad to get but they specified 4 GB.  this says it 2 x 1 GB.  ????

This is the one you should get to have 4GB total: The 2X1GB means that it take two of thiese memory module to make to 2GB so they are 1GB each. according to the specs of my 2007 iMac, the memory is 200 pins which obviously would fail to connect to a 240 pin, wouldn't you say?

The specs for a iMac (mid 2007) indicate the that computer is configured to support PC2 5300.  The problem occurs when you are defining PC2 5300 laptop and desktop memory.  Desktop PC2 5300 is configured as 240 Pin and PC2 5300 laptop memory is configured in a smaller 200 pin configuration.  If my memory serves me correctly, the iMac has an access panel in the center of the back of the unit which is where the memory is located underneath.  I am also pretty confident that these iMac's use the 200 Pin PC2-5300 laptop memory cards.

The site will scan your machine, shows it's specs. and gives you the best compatible ram results for it.

Can I use this memory for my Dell gx620 SFF?

My best answer would be no: I did some research and found your specs on a dell site in a pdf. Your hardware can support memory at speeds of 533mhz and unfortunately the memory on this page is memory speed 667 or 5300 which will not work for you setup. May I ask please, will this work with an Acer Aspire One? I've been looking at tutorials for dissembling it and installing more RAM but I'm not certain if this is compatible. (I have little screws drivers and patience, ha ha.) Thank you very much for your help! :)

Depends on the board, if its factory built then you can look up the stats on company's support pages. If its more than 5 or 6 yrs old, I would be hesitant since higher memory is not usually backwards compatible.

With all that said, I've had very frustrating experiences with Corsair Memory. If you dont want to replace in next year or so, go for the HyperX sort.  Hope that helps
