Hi,

I have an older imac and this memory was the one specified by Apple.  Do I get 1 of the memory chips, or 2?  They look easy to install, is that the case.

You will need 2- one for each of the ports.

They are easy to install, but you will have to push them in harder than you would expect to get them all the way in.

make sure you have the right screwdriver.

Seriously?! in your own post you answered your own question.
DDR2-667.
I will tell you the same thing I told the last guy.
If you cant figure out what memory you need of your own accord, you really have no business replacing it yourself. 
Take it to a professional if you don't know.
Also why is new egg asking there customers to provide technical support to there other customers.
I charge for this type of service, so if you want a straight answer pay for it, or do the research and figure it out for yourself.

Yes, the Acer 3680 supports this memory. However, if you are planning on going to more then 3GBs of memory for the system you will need a 64-bit OS. A 32-bit OS can see the memory but it has limitations on how much memory it can use.
