Question 1

How tall is this ram exactly?

My hard drives hang RIGHT over where my ram goes, so the height is limited to about 2 inches.

I did not have any issues with the ram height. One of my systems that I installed the ram to was right under the drive as well. All I did was pull the HD drive, drop the ram in, reinstall the drive. No issues. Of course your question is really only specific to your hardware setup. If you are worried about the heat fins, these modules are no taller than any other type modules with heat fins.

Can I buy two sets of this ram and use them the my 4 slot motherboard?

Yes I'm using this configuration. I installed two sets of this RAM in 4 slots of my ASUS Z87 board and it's perfectly working.
16 GB  is more than enough. I did it because with couple opened applications and game running, my system used about 6.5 GB of RAM.

Question 3

This RAM is compatible with my motherboard according to it's doc.  Is it compatible with a AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor ?

You have to worry only if the memory is compatible with the motherboard. If your processor is compatible with the motherboard do not worry about the processor.

I have Crucial Specs the same as the Corsair Sticks I just got today.  What is the proper DIMM slot to put them in?

Generally, you want RAM memory modules of similar manufacture and cas latency on the same channel. This is usually denoted on your motherboard as colored slots being on the same channel. If not, a safe bet is slots 1&3 are channel 0, and 2&4 are generally channel 1.

whats the difference between this model vs the black one CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9?

At the time, the blue was on sale, and it was also on the recommended list for my motherboard. Otherwise there is no difference between the two styles other than color.

Yes.  It is compatible.  Is it on the Qualified Vendor List? Unsure.  This list changes.  And no one I know follows those lists anyway.

I am building a computer and currently need DDR3 ram for my current desktop so that it is usable until the new build is done, but will use this for the new build too. The amazon page says it works on all DDR3 motherboards, fishy sounding to me, so my question is; will it work on an HP M2N68-LA(Narra6) motherboard?

So long as the slots are made to take DDR3 RAM they should be compatible. PCs are made to be upgradeable; DDR3 is DDR3 for pretty much everyone until the new type of RAM comes out. However, the motherboard itself may have limitations. From what I saw it only has 2 slots for RAM. Buying one pack of these will fill those fine. Also it says it can only support 4gb of ram for 32 bit operating systems. But you aren't exceeding that limit so you should be good if you have a 32bit or a 64bit. Now the speed of the RAM in question is 1600. Your motherboard has a max speed of 1333MHz, so the ram won't be able to run at full speed. BUT it will still function fine, just at the slower 1333MHz instead of the 1600MHz. You won't notice much of a difference. I'd recommend getting these and then keeping them for when you decide to upgrade other parts of your pc. For example getting a new motherboard with 4 slots for ram instead of 2 then buy another one of these. You'll notice a the difference.

Will these Corsair memory modules will fit in dual channel on a Gigabyte Z87 UD3H with an Enermax ETS-T40-BK CPU cooler?

Two of them should work fine, but a second set to give you 16GB could be problematic due to the height of the coolers on the memory. Your best bet is some low profile stuff; that or switch your CPU cooler to a closed loop liquid cooler.

I am not a tech and don't know what your plans are (overclocking or whatever) so I won't get in to all the what ifs but for normal stuff it should work fine.

I have used CORSAIR memory on many builds. mostly on ASUS Mobos. Only once on a GIGABYTE mobo.

Assuming the Dell Desktop XPS8700 is the base model. Then yes it will work. I would however check the latency on the RAM that you have now to determine it these are faster or not. So if it is the base model then yes it would work.
