The question implies you have very little experience with computers. Be aware that pretty much all SSD's will ship blank with nothing on them. If you are building a computer for the first time, you will need either a USB stick or a CD/DVD with an OS to load Windows/Linux onto the SSD. It is possible to have multiple M2 drives in a system (if the Motherboard supports it). I like to keep Windows on one and my games on a different one. And your BIOS/UEFI will recognize a bootable OS and you can set boot priority in there. If building from scratch, only install 1 SSD until the OS is loaded and once Windows or Linux is running, then add the second SSD. And there are PCIe cards that let you add a M2 drive to systems where the motherboard doesn't have any M2 slots but typically you can't boot from those.
